Worst customer service. Can a review be less than 1 star? Yup here we are. I can see why more and more Citizens Banks are closing down. Absolutely awful experience. We will move our business banking to Newburyport Bank. We will close our account as soon as possible!

Teller lied to me on how much I can deposit into my business account had to drive all the way to Salem NH,took 5 minutes in salem in and out the door

10 people in the line one teller, extremely slow service, and a manager on the desk acting so busy organizing files. After a long wait, it was my turn and I was trying to deposit a few checks, and the tiller told me that his check scanner not working properly and I should use an ATM.

This bank has no regulations, completely illegitimate . I went to the appointment at Citizens bank branch at Amesbury, MA on Sep 29th. Two staff at the branch told me that they couldn't open business bank accounts for me because my title at the LLC is "Manager", which is different from the phrase "MBR" behind my name in the IRS EIN letter. However, those two will never be the same. "Manager" is the title format from the MA government which we are not allowed to change. "MBR" (member) is the title format from IRS, which we are not allowed to change either. Actually, no any company in MA will have the two titles/ phrases same.My LLC actually has business accounts with Bank of America .I emailed the Amesbury branch manager Stephen Markot the LLC certificate and IRS EID to enquiry this question on Sep. 30th and on Oct. 11th. I never heard back from him. He was actually involved in the email loop between me and staff at the branch, and replied to me once.I called Citizens Bank customer service for opening new business accounts. Manager Tina told me that only Amesbury branch manager Stephen Markot can solve this issue. My phone was then transferred to the branch and no one answered the phone.I called general customer service number, and manage Jose told me: Citizens Bank branch managers have ultimate control of their branch bank policies.It seems Citizens Bank branch manager can do whatever they want to your money.Bank of America is a more regulated bank. I am a long term customer of BOA. Most of their staffs are knowledgeable and respectful.

Have to say my visit today was great. almost forgot to leave my updated review. a kind woman met people in line and helped people with a more personal touch, she was kind and made the experience enjoyable. please give her more money whoever she was. (written on 5/3)

This is literally the worst bank ever!!!! I would give zero stars if I could but obviously that is not an option. This branch is full of rude, unhelpful and incompetent people. Its no surprise why they have new people every couple of months. What a joke of a bank! what happened to the days when Shannon was the branch manager there.

Mike is by far the rudest dude at this place. What kind of bank employee tells you that they cant help you anymore??? I will never go back. So sad because I use to love coming to this bank. If you want someone to talk down to you and make you feel like a nickle, go to this bank.
