I could list a thousands reasons why you shouldn't do your banking here and not a single reason why you should. You honestly couldn't make a worst decision then putting your money here. Over 15 years with them and finally taken the time to close all accounts with them... feels so liberating!

I’ve been with BankProv for over 15 years. It was my first bank account and I loved it, until years later they start closing earlier and more often, the ATMs never work properly, I get charged every month for a maintenance fee but it’s only suppose to charge you if your account is under $500 and even when it’s not, you still get charged the $5 every month. So basically this bank is a scam and I wouldn’t suggest going here for anything. My card info got stolen at a fast food place and it took BankProv close to a month to fix everything and get me a new card. So screw these guys and go to Merrimack Valley Credit Union, 5 Cent Savings, or really any other bank in town if you actually care about your money, time, and sanity.

I have been banking with this bank for a long time. Many years in fact. Yes, the staff has always been, gracious, nice and helpful. However, I live next door to the main branch but cannot go in to the bank . Drive through only. The hours used to be great but that changed some years ago . The hours are not convenient to the average working person. I have tried using the ATM at both Amesbury locations in the last few weeks and the machines are not working properly. It's very, very inconvenient and annoying. I have to drive to Newburyport to Seabrook to take money out of the ATM. On top of thatthe bank charges me a 5 dollar maint fee which is crummy. If I could change banks I would but it's a hassle doing so.

Unless you live next to a branch. Services are pretty inconvenient. Living out of state with this bank is a nightmare.Limited hours / customer support available as a result.Expensive monthly fees.Clunky app.

I have been with this bank for over 25 years. Since I was a teenager. Tried to buy a car today. Went to call the bank to let them know I’m putting 13k down on a car on my debit card and was told I couldn’t. I could only do 5k and my debit card has been canceled because I haven’t used it. This hasn’t been the first time I have had issues pulling my money from this bank! Luckily I was able to go use my debit card from another bank. I also have not used that debit card for over a year and that bank had no issues!! Even stayed on the line to make sure everything was good. I will be pulling all my money out asap and closing this account. I’m am extremely disappointed in this bank. This use to be a great bank and easy to work with. Not anymore.

Update: 11/1/2022 They did not contact me after a phone call were the specialist said they would call me the next business day; they did email my colleague who used they contact form later (I had already submitted twice. Maybe they did not reply to me because I'm Hispanic?) They do not provide the service they are offering on their webpage "Full-service USD banking products for crypto native and related businesses" This is written on their page, but they do not aim to serve as it says.11/28/2022 Notes that after attempting multiple times to contact the bank to open a business account I was ignored three times. Another member calls and is informed to submit form electronically, the ones I had done three times (first one a month ago, a week later, and yesterday). I email them. Hopefully they reply and I can edit this review. Realized most of the three or higher start reviews were about older than 11 months. mmmm. something to consider.I will edit this post after we have done business.

Hours are ridiculous. Only open to 5pm so if you need to actually go in for card replacement, cash a check, etc and you work till 5 you cant. They added fees. It is just not the same. I will be switching to a bank that has real people hours.

I was recently the victim of fraudulent transactions. Numerous banks, among which BankProv, we're involved. All of the banks, with the exception of aforementioned, acted expidiously to investigate and make the determination of fraud. My accounts were restored, and I received a new card within two days.Almost two weeks later, my BankProv account is still frozen, and I've yet to receive a new card.The management at this institution exists in a time warp!

Had a business loan with the bank. Paid it off because lots of issue with bank. Bank lobby always closed because not many teller.

Been doing business for a long time , business & personal, I love this bank. They make everything so easy for me on a daily basis. The employees are so pleasant and helpful! I highly recommend this bank !Thank You !
