Our French Bulldog had a wash and nail trim recently here and enjoyed the experience a lot. The friendly folks at the business made the visit a positive experience. Highly recommend bringing your canine here.

I took my standard golden doodle Ella to Amherst Dog Wash today. They were ready for her at the scheduled time and asked several questions to make sure they knew what I was looking for. Ben was great with Ella and she looks and smells divine! I love the fact that they don't crate the dogs. They might be waiting in the back room behind a gate but they are never crated. This will be my go-to place from now on.

Clean kept, no cages. All the staff are easy to work with, and they do a great job everytime.

Our mini Bernedoodle Suki just had her first groom with Beth. Absolutely terrific outcome! So happy to find a professional with flair! Thanks, Beth. See you in June!

A few things that i am not impressed with. For one, after making the appointment and arriving, not only was my dog so scared but the guy who greeted me was handling a dog and was very quick/not too concerned about asking much. I ended up telling them a second time i was new and he said oh! (Figured that would be noted from the call i had to make the appt). The dog being handled was yelping and scared and he was just talking to me, not looking back on this other dog which i was a little thrown off by.I've taken my dog to several locations and paid somewhat around the same price for the same services. I felt i got ripped off this time around. The nails were not trimmed, ears were dirty, and no teeth cleaning done. They did not do a de-shed which i mentioned on the phone call nor did they call to ask in case of charge. I was charged $85 and it seemed it was just for a BATH. No additional grooming was done, my dog has been depressed since i took her back and i feel terrible. I'm not sure if they rushed but they left a ton of fur around the paws which is one thing i did mention in person. It all just seemed sloppy/quickly done. They advertise "cage free" but there was a dog in a cage when i got there and a few others closed off?I wanted to support a family owned business and continue coming back, but in comparison to other places i will not be returning. Something is OFF by experience. I have a larger dog/long haired breed so maybe they are better with smaller breeds.

I love this place! They give you the time it's going to take and our Bichon is ready at that time. Great people! Dolly looks gorgeous today...Bichons are particularly difficult when their coats are long but they gave her a perfect cut.

Took my 1 year old Samoyed for her first professional grooming as she was blowing her coat. Great grooming job- forgot how beautiful she can look! Price very reasonable.

Great service - made me feel safe and comfortable during COVID. I just moved to town and desperately needed a groom for my poodle-mix. He was super matted. When I arrived they were just finishing sanitizing the place between grooms, which made me feel good. The groomer (a guy with beard) did an excellent job with my pup - full groom, toe nails, the works. He called me once my dog was almost ready so I didn't have to wait around. I'll be back. They were friendly, professional, and my pup came out looking handsome and happy.

I spoke with the groomer for several minutes when dropping off my Sheltie. I said repeatedly not to shave her, only a wash and a trim. It took four hours and when we finally got to pick her up she was shaved very unevenly and looks horrible. Then we were grossly overcharged. I tipped the normal amount because I didn’t know what to do but we will never have our dog groomed here again. I shouldn’t have paid the ridiculous amount they charged to ruin my dog’s beautiful coat. I’m so disappointed. Very unprofessional job.

Just moved to town during the pandemic, and was so relieved that Amherst Dog Wash was able to groom my cockapoo. They were wearing masks and I could see them sanitizing the shop after the last dog and before they brought my pup in. They also don't use cages to hold the dogs like the big chain stores. He was so matted and desperately needed a good trim. Pup came out looking excellent and calm (a sign they know what to do). The groomer was super helpful - he called me when my pup was ready so I didn't have to wait around and made payment super easy and safe with all these covid worries. I am so happy to find a new place for my dog, I'll be back again!
