Service ranges from mediocre to awful. Ordered and paid for 7’ piece of moulding only to get home and learn it was 2” short. Counter guy said you need to “round up”. Seriously. No joke! Mistakes happen, but at least own up to it and offer an apology.

I use this place because its close. I've had one quick, helpful experience and three that were relatively unfriendly or not helpful. One guy seemed overwhelmed and annoyed with a request to help cut a few 2x6s to specific lengths I needed for my deck. Then it took three trips to the woodyard before someone finally helped me despite being told quickly that I should just find someone out there. They seem used to working with contractors, not individuals. If they ever go under it will be partly because people like me go to Home Depot where they put a premium on customer service instead of having variable approachability and modest service.

Compared to all other local options, I have found this place to be very unwelcoming, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I recently tried to return an item that I ended up not needing, but, as sometimes happens, the receipt went missing. The man at the counter shook his head and seemed very unwilling to try to work it out. In the end, he couldn't find a credit card match, so he slid the item across the counter towards me and said he couldn't help me. This was after printing the record that the item (spackle) was Indeed purchased two days prior. "Get your receipt and we'll help you" is what he said. I lost the receipt, but the store has computer records showing the purchase. If small businesses want to compete, they need to offer friendly and accommodating service. This place lost my business for good.
