Wonderful people . Terrible bank. My account was victim of a check forger. They created poor fakes. The bank cleared them without noticing the forgeries. After realizing the forgery they held my money ($26,050.50) I’m currently in a battle to get the money back. I’ve since left the bank. This was a mistake that could be avoided by looking at the check. Bad signature, no security feature. Deposited 300 miles from where I do business. Bad bank. Avoid this place.

Went in this afternoon to open a simple savings account. We arrived at 12:45 to a nearly empty bank with one customer being assisted by the one teller. Once the teller was free and after waiting without being greeted I approached the teller telling her I'd like to open a simple savings account. The teller said that customer service would assist gesturing to a rep that was sitting at his cubicle when we arrived who had walked back and forth several times to speak to another rep in his office without acknowledging us. We were finally acknowledged by that rep at 12:55 from a far distance(beyond covid safe distance), he didn't have the courtesy to walk up to and in front us. We were casually, not professionally greeted with "Are you waiting for customer service?" Not "Welcome to Cambridge Savings Bank, my name is...." When informing him we'd like to open a simple savings he said they were closing so there wouldn't be enough time. When inquiring how long would it take he said 30mins. My sister directly asked if the representative was just not willing he responded deflecting, suggesting again there wouldn't be enough time for signatures, the teller would have to wait etc. ending with "you can start our application online." It was clear that he wasn't interested in opening the account at that time and said it in the most "politely" indirect way he could. My sister a former bank employee confirmed an experienced rep interested in assisting would have got it done in 20 mins max! I can only assume his Saturday brunch plans took precedence over servicing us. Understood closing time is 1:00 but if he had a sense of urgency and was efficient seems we could have completed what we came for by 1:05. I appreciate businesses that service you as long as you arrive before closing, this isn't one of them. Long story short poor customer service, we went with another bank.

To whom it may concern, Cambridge Savings Bank in East Arlington is very courteous and helpful every time I stop by the bank. Everyone here is so kind and patient. I could not image banking anywhere else. I have been banking here almost thirty years and I am so happy to say that. I wish them continued succes!

The bank itself is nice , Ive had account here since 2012 , I wemt into bank to deposit my 15yr old sons paycheck for 10 hours pay , He is to young to have his own checking account I was told I could not DEPOSIT the check he would need to come in and open an account well he is 15 I am his mother same name on check and same address on check I couldnt believe they where telling me this and said that they dont allow deposits with second signature on it and when I questioned it ( manager came and said NO they will not deposit it and most banks do not allow this so I went to my other bank EASTERN BANK did not even question me deposit it right into my account so I decided to ask the teller if it was true what cambride savings bank manager told me and she has never heard if such a thing! So will be closing account after banking for 10yrs with cambridge savings..

I've been banking with CSB for almost 10 years now. I have had no problems but about 2.5 months ago I initiated a fraud claim for a check that was "fraudulent." I was not aware the check was fraudulent. First of all, the bank took a few days to process the check. After 3 days, they made ALL the funds of the check available and told me the check was valid. Later that week, I get a call saying the check was altered, AFTER I had used the funds. Essentially, I got scammed out of $2,000 after the bank told me it was ok to use the money. The bank claims it's not their fault and that they won't do anything about it. The fraud claim investigation was undergoing for almost 2 months! I kept having to constantly email and call people to get updates on the investigation. I emailed an employee who was the first one to reach out to me about the check, Yeny Paiva, from their Inman Sq location, for 2 WEEKS straight asking for an update and got no reply. When she didn't feel like talking to me, a Jay called me and left a voicemail. I called back for 3 days and left voice mails and still got no answer. When I went to their East Arlington location to cancel the account that had been compromised I was met with some of the WORST customer service. The teller refused to help me close and open a new account. The only way I got her to help was when I asked what her name was so I could report her to her manager. I mean, how is this customer service and why are these people working there if they refuse to do their job? Just this week I was told that the bank won't do anything about it and it wasn't their fault. This makes me wonder, did they even start an investigation? Are they even doing enough to prevent this from happening? To anyone looking for a bank you can trust and one that will take all measures necessary to prevent fraud, let me tell you that CSB will NOT be that bank. I will now be banking with a different institution who cares more about their customers and who do more to prevent such frauds to happen.
