I went in a week ago and it was beyond busy. I overheard salty language, noticed a mountain of boxes waiting for UPS to pick up, a growing line and not enough help. There was one woman standing behind the register, not doing anything. Perhaps she was a trainee? The one woman that was working was doing a fantastic job, quickly juggling multiple transactions, working the computer, the phone, etc. - which was extra amazing considering she had one arm in a sling.
Thought somebody should know.

I have been going to this Arlington UPS Store location for many years, and thought I had developed a friendly, helpful relationship with the owner/manager of the store. She has assisted me with my returns, printing jobs, and faxes over the years. Then when I had a lost return package, I spoke to UPS for an hour to resolve it. They said there is nothing they can do, that it wasn't their problem, and that I need to speak with the UPS Store where I made the return. I went in to speak with the manager/ owner about the issue, and she said I needed to speak with UPS about it, that it wasn't her problem. I explained that I spent an hour on the phone with UPS and they made me come to the store. I begged her to please call UPS with me and help me to resolve the problem, and she steadfastly refused to make the call or to help me, and passed me over to help the next customer. I do not know what the point is of developing a personal relationship, over YEARS with this store, when they offer ZERO help when I have an actual issue to resolve. I have gone to this store for YEARS. I will NEVER return there.

Staff was pretty rude when I was just trying to ask about why my shipping insurance costed more than other UPS stores in the area quoted me at. They just kept interrupting me every time I started to say something.
It also doesn’t make sense to me that shipping insurance rates can be different for each UPS Store. This store has more expensive rates than one in Cambridge, so it’s strange to me that I could’ve saved $30 if I just drove 10 minutes to that one instead.

I had an exceptional experience at the UPS Store on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington. From the moment I walked in, the staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely helpful. They answered all my questions with patience and clarity, They made sure paperwork was done without hassle.
What stood out the most was their consistency and kindness. Whether you’re dropping off a return, shipping something urgent, or getting documents notarized, this team treats every customer with care and respect. The store is clean, well-organized, and operates like a well-oiled machine.
Special thanks to the owner Lori for going the extra mile. I won’t go anywhere else for my shipping or printing needs.
Highly recommend this location. Five-star service every time.

Laurie and the rest of the staff were heroes today. Keeping the store open without AC was truly above and beyond. It took me a long time to recover after being there for just a short time — I can’t imagine being a business owner responsible for managing a store under those conditions. It’s genuinely dangerous.
Whoever is responsible for maintaining that property should know they could be liable if a staff member suffers heat stroke.
Do better. This is not what Arlington is about.

The workers are lovely and friendly. Today is over 95 outside and their door lock is broken so the door can't close. They are stuck in still air and they still happened to help me with my huge, heavy package (moving and mailing most) while being really kind and efficiently getting it done asap.

I have been going to this UPS store for years and am a huge fan of Laurie, the owner. She rocks! She has helped me countless times with various legal docs, PDF files, returns and all manner of admin things I can't deal with from my home office. She is simply awesome, she is a master at multi tasking, keeps the line moving even during crunch times at holidays and is a pleasure to do business with. And as an added bonus she sometimes brings her adorable little dog Chewbacca to work and he brings a smile to all. It's always great to support a local small business owner, and Laurie is one of the best!

The lady there was either purely rude or a racist. Very bad attitude and unprofessional behavior. She was casually chatting with her friend through the phone while processing orders.
