I like smaller postal offices that have friendly faces and great customer service. They make you feel like a wanted customer not just a number in line.”

But the postmaster (postmistress?) kindly did some fancy detective work and located it at the destination’s post office after an attempted delivery failed and no notice was given for pick up. It was artwork for a gallery exhibition. Whew! Thank you!”
“Right on route 2 in downtown Charlemont. Limited hours, as is the norm with small town Massachusetts post offices. Staff is friendly but the United States Postal Service rates are getting out of control and there's absolutely no accountability. To ship anything more than a simple letter or post card costs an arm and a leg... nothing the Charlemont branch can do to change the shady practices of such a large entity.”
