“Update: Had a bit of an issue with a rude manager when trying to open an account, but the VP of Marketing reached out to me, so I decided to give them a chance and become a member. The process to set up an account was super easy and intuitive, albeit a bit buggy running on Firefox instead of Chrome, but that's most sites these days. The application was processed quickly, and it seems like they take security very seriously. Their mobile banking app is a bit bare bones and old looking, and it shows an ad for their services every time you open it (you can thankfully dismiss it), but it does the job that every good mobile banking app is supposed to do (check balances, deposit money, etc...)”

“I had kind of a silly issue with my card I asked for assistance with today and the teller was super kind and helpful about it even though it quickly became clear that it was not on Eastern Bank’s end. He went to the ATM with me just in case there was something he could end up doing, (there wasn’t - I had locked my card and forgotten about it but didn’t realize until I was back in my car. Lol) which was cool. So, thanks for that! As someone with social anxiety it’s difficult for me to ask for help to begin with so I appreciated the positive interaction.

“This is by far the best bank ive ever had in the city and im glad i switched from bank5 to them. Paypal got hacked and account was in negative and rockland trust took care of it immediately even when paypal didnt. When i got hit with overdraft fee they reversed it (rarely happens but people make mistakes). Checking and savings account are 100% free and never got hit with any hidden fees or monthly fees. Everytime i go to my bank or call customer service they are always so polite and professional.”
