What kind of bank doesn't accept rolled coin deposits from their customers? Time to find a new bank.

Staff was unfriendly and unwilling to help and I, as well as others, were instructed to use the one ATM in the building. This is time consuming and inconvenient. Not everyone is interested in a virtual assistant, and not all banking questions can be solved virtually. Talking to a real person is great customer service. Because I could not use the ATM for my banking needs, I was told (rather impolitely) to go to another bank.

Citizens continues to eliminate tellers in favor or 'virtual tellers.' My business has been working with Citizen's for years and we develop human relationships with our tellers and bankers. This is terribly disappointing and limits my banking to branches only (providing they do not eliminate these as well). Some people want to bank online, but many people need in-office services. I am no longer banking at these locations and am considering changing banks entirely.

We recently ran into some very poor customer service experiences with multiple online representatives we spoke with over the phone. So we opted to make a visit to this local branch in Attleboro in an attempt to get our situation rectified. Not only was Mimi, the branch manger at this Attleboro location, able to fix our problem for us, but she did so with the kindest demeanor. She met with us in person on two different occasions and had various phone conversations to get our issue rectified. This was the ONLY positive experience we had with Citizens Bank and it was all due to Mimi. We honestly can’t thank her enough!

This bank has got to be seriously crazy. Back about two years ago I got about four checks bounced and the first check that bounced, I didn't even have enough to cover it yet they succeeded in cashing out for more checks! Totally overdrafted me by about $5000 and then proceeded to charge me overdraft fees. Finally, I found one bank manager that was willing to work with me to straighten out this mess! This bank account has not been open for over two years and today I got a notice saying that they've noticed some unusual activity in my account. What are you talking about Citizens? God for bid you try and reach somebody after hours because your wait will be and I quote "greater than 20 minutes" or "greater than 60 minutes". Who the hell has 20 or 60 minutes to wait online listening to the horrible elevator music and their constant commercials? Not I said the duck! That's why I closed this account and I've never looked back!

I have had no problems with this bank site. The people with whom I have interacted have been very pleasant and helpful. I'm disappointed to see so many poor reviews. I know that people who have difficulties rightfully complain, I just thought I should write this to let people know that not everyone has bad experiences here.

I wish I could provide a lower than 1 star review. After being a customer for 17 years with Citizens, I finally figured how they cheat customers. In 2018, long after my dad passed away I went to the branch to close my account that held both our names on it. I waited until everything was cleared with his estate. I got charged a fee and told I must pay it or they can't close it. So, I did. Then, I was told it was closed. However, to verify wait 24 hrs and call the 800# number and confirm. I did!! They confirmed it was closed. FastForward to 2019 and 40+ points drop in my credit score and no idea why. I looked into it and wouldn't you know, Citizens reported a 60-90days late on my account for an account I had closed. Go figure. Called last week, they want to charge me the 20$ per month to close my account. EVEN THOUGH MY ACCOUNT SAYS CLOSED IN OCTOBER 2018 on their site as well as my credit report. So , they report my account is closed to the credit bureau and then they charge me for OD protection for an account I don't use for fees on account that is NOT OPENED. My BP is off the wall. I'm soo tired of fighting this dirty company. Don't ask to speak with a manager because they are just as useless as the main customer care you speak with...
