As a financial professional myself, I hold financial institutions to a high standard. I stopped at this branch last week to purchase some currency for travel abroad.
I was so pleased with the service I got. First, they were the only institution I know of in my area that has Euros on hand, no pre-order needed. Second, I’m not an account holder there, so there was a fee but it was minimal, just $10.
Next, the lobby was welcoming and I noted several people working there. That’s a different experience than my personal bank, where few people are ever available. (I mostly do online banking and I have to accommodate my spouse’s preferences or I’d change banks!)
The service was good. Everyone was friendly and I didn’t have to wait too long. Parking was easy. I also noted walking in the door that they proudly display their HRC Equality top 100 status! It speaks to the welcoming environment you can expect.
I recommend checking them out.

My wife and I have an account with Rockland Trust. Today she brought our son to use the coin machine, which wasn't working. That isn't the issue. I understand coin machines are fickle things. The problem was the entire floor staff yelled loudly out to them that the machine wasn't working. Not politely stated - yelled. My son has special needs and the barrage of noise unsettled him.
This is extremely unprofessional behavior. A sign or a person simply stating the machine isn't working would have been sufficient. No one needs an entire teller line and CSR staff to jump on them the moment they approach the machine.
Do better.

Unprofessional and Discriminatory Behavior from Bank Teller
I’ve had several uncomfortable experiences at Rockland Trust, but one recent visit crossed a line and needs to be addressed.
When cashing a check drawn from this very bank, we were assisted by a teller named Angel. Not only did he scrutinize our identification in a way that felt excessive and suspicious, he also made a pointed remark about where we are from and preceded to point this out to several fellow employees—something completely irrelevant and inappropriate in a banking setting.
He then told us that this would be the “last time” he would do us the “favor” of cashing a check. This was not a favor—this was a routine banking transaction involving a check issued by their own institution. His comment was not only unprofessional but felt personal, as if we were being singled out and shamed for reasons that have nothing to do with banking policy or procedure.
No customer should be made to feel unwelcome or judged when trying to access basic financial services. Angel’s conduct was unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the standards of this branch. I urge management to take this seriously. Discrimination, no matter how subtle or veiled, has no place in customer service—especially in a bank.

My wife and I wanted to exchange some recalled British pounds for current ones. No bank at which we had an account would do and a friend suggested Rockland Trust. We called and they said they could, and would, do it. Manager Craig could not have more helpful and friendly. Our only regret is that there is no Rockland Trust branch closer to us Thanks, it is nice to know you are there.

Opened a mortgage with Rockland trust, that process was simple and easy and we got a great rate, unfortunately everything since has been a nightmare. Was told we can’t pay our mortgage from an outside account and must open a checking account with rockland. Ok, annoying but fine I’ll do it. Except when I do that it isn’t linked to my online banking and I can’t access the account or see if my mortgage payment processed. I call customer service and that’s a nightmare beyond belief, hold for 30 minutes, someone answers that has no idea what they’re doing and then transfers me and I hold for another hour before an answer and this guy has no answers either and to top it off hangs up on me. Crazy and super unprofessional. I’m literally trying to pay them money and I can’t get anyone to help with the issue. Even if you’re understaffed which is clear, you should still be willing to make the effort to help your customers. Couldn’t have a worse opinion of the bank at this time. Hope they service our loan to another institution at this point.

I have an account with Rockland trust. I expect when I drive 20 minutes out of my way just to get 4 rolls of quarters that I will be able to do so. But at this location, apparently the quarter rolls are limited to 1 roll per customer as they "only get 1 box of quarters a week for everyone." I've never heard of a bank that operates this way. Luckily, I was able to walk into a bank that I DONT have an account with and get 4 rolls of quarters without a problem.Very odd experience.

My Experience with Rockland trust has been nothing short of a nightmare. I took a mortgage out on a home in Attleboro with Rockland trust. First thing to happen was this bank accidentally gave out my financial information to someone else and than notified me of their mistake. The unprofessionalism here alone should have been a sign. I later took a home equity line of credit on my home. When discussing the loans fee nothing was mentioned of an early termination fee. I disclosed the likelihood of me not need the line of credit in a few months and the loan officer never mentioned a cancelation clause, not once. He just want to get the loan processed. When trying to terminate the unused line of credit they tried charging me $500 cancelation fee. I talked with the manager PJ Ventura and offered no sympathy for the financial data they gave away or the fact the cancelation clause was never disclosed by his employee. He promised to get back to me on the matter. Its been over a month now and he still hasn't gotten back to me. The support line hasn't been very helpful either. Take your business else where, where they respect your financial data and customer service is more valued
