Best staff out of any Hertz location. Very efficient for what seems to be an understaffed location. The Uber rental business seems to slow this location down. I've rented from Hertz over 16 weeks this year and wished this staff was found at other locations. Wanted to add an update. Hertz has listened to the reviews and added additional staff. There were 4 people working in this location today.

Our family has been loyal to Hertz for over 20 years, so it's disappointing to have had such a negative experience at this location. I do not recommend it.
Our car broke down during a road trip and we had it towed to a nearby dealership. We tried calling Hertz to check availability, but the automated system offered no way to speak to a live person and directed us to book online. Their website showed at least 10 cars available at this location, so we took an Uber over—only to be told there were no cars.
The employee was unhelpful and blamed the issue on Hertz corporate, saying they needed 48–72 hours’ notice for a booking and couldn’t bring any cars in that day. Eventually, he offered a Tesla, but we explained we weren’t comfortable with electric vehicles and didn’t have charging access. He kept insisting it was our only option.
When we asked about other locations, he said he didn’t know and didn’t offer to check. After pushing him, he briefly looked something up on his personal phone (not even the computer) and said no other locations had availability either. His final suggestion was to go try Enterprise—without a car to get there.
We did go to Enterprise and had a much better experience. Staff there were friendly, helpful, and got us back on the road quickly.
Unless you're booking well in advance, skip this Hertz location and go to Enterprise instead.

This is a disgusting place poor customer service specially the lady with a neck tattoo she is so rude I came from uber to rent a car and she told me she is not in the mood for uber driver today

For a major car rental establishment they are lacking. Reservations are taken for cars not available. The girl running the show does nothing but complain about how she can’t go away for every time she does she comes back to a nightmare. The lack of customer service staff at the establishment leaves people stranded. Cars shouldn’t be able to be reserved if they don’t have them and a person should be notified right away if the establishment can’t honor the reservation. I don’t recommend going to Hertz in Auburn. You may find a better alternative right around the corner.

Ridiculously slow to process a rental. I waited 45 minutes for the person in front of me, to get their car. Only 1 person working.
Employee has a VERY thick accent.

Filthiest cars I've ever seen and the most rudest unprofessional employee I've ever encountered at any car rental agency .
I've taken several cross country trips and rented cars all over the country. Stay clear of Auburn hertz car rental even if you have to pay more at a different hertz location or other car rental agency. Worst experience of my life! Not to mention they give you a car not only filthy in and out but with expired inspection sticker which is ILLEGAL and when you come back for an exchange you're treated even more rude than when you arrived, I've never ever in my life seen a car rental agency as unprofessional, disorganized ,rude and unreliable as this one was !!!!

TERRRRRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from the manager. The lady at the front desk is overwhelmed and sweet she did the best she could with my situation along with trying to handle a long line of people.
After an already frustrating experience waiting 40 minutes to get my car. I was told I can't park my car there. When I said I needed a day to have someone come pick it up because I'm from out of town I was told no it will be towed if you leave it. Asked where can I park it i was told on a side street or at the supermarket. Asked if it was safe for the week I was told no. I asked you can't work with me for a day I was told WHY WOULD YOU ASSUME YOU COULD LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE. This is when I lost mind. I told probably every other car rental experience I had in my entire life led me to believe that I could leave my car here. After exchanging some words about how there is a sign on the DOOR that says you can't park here, I tried to explain to her that I'm here with no plan and no resources to leave my car anywhere but here. You have to let me know before I arrive at the door? Further looks at me like I'm dumb for thinking I can leave my car so at that point I just left very upset.
This isn't a problem if people are told before hand not when your standing there with no way of getting your car somewhere safe.

I reserved a car for the following day and received confirmation via email. The next day prior to being picked up, to pick up car, I checked my email. I received an email that I had cancelled the reservation. I immediately contacted them and she stated they did not have a car for me. The lack of consideration for why I needed the car was extremely frustrating. Needless to say I was livid. I went to Enterprise and received excellent service, a beautiful car, and it was less expensive. I'm not too sure where the breakdown in communication is on their end but in reading other reviews, this is a common problem with Hertz.
