Its been a couple years now since I left them... They auto renew contracts every 3 years and hike the prices up every time (Legal in Mass). I moved heaven and earth, but finally pried their grip from my business.... Terrible communication, service, quality... You name it. They just try to grab new business and hope they dont see the egregious price increases.TO YOUR REPLY: IF ONLY YOUR COMPANY PUT A FRACTION OF ITS EFFORT INTO HELPING YOUR CLIENTS THAN YOU DO POSTING REPLIES TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS. i WAITED WEEKS AT A TIME FOR COMMUNICATION, BUT YOU REPOND TO NEG. Terrible customer service. They have missed three recycling pick-ups from my house in Arlington in the past year. I ignored the first one - nobody is perfect. The second one I called customer service and they promised replacement pick up the next day. They never showed up. On Dec. 13, 2023, they missed recycling pick up. I called. They sent someone on the 14th who picked up one cardboard box but ignored the 2/3 full recycling barrel next to the box. I called again and they promised pick-up on the 15th. They never showed up on the 15th. I called at 4.30 pm on the 15th and complained again and they ducked and dodged responsibility.

Services for the New England area are absolutely the worst, you can report missed pickups with nothing done about it. Even the customer service locally is terrible, they all sound like they hate working there. Services in the Texas are far superior compared to the management here in Massachusetts. Choose any other trash service!

Pros:-Customer service lady was very nice when I called about a missed trash pickup and she said someone will be to pick it up in a day or 2 “even though I live in the boondocks”Cons:-The exact next week after what’s described in the “pros”, my trash was missed again even though I put it out the night before.-Trash bins aren’t big enough for family 5+ (esp. when they don’t get picked up each week)

God awful service. Every week they're missing pickups. Every week I'm calling in to get it rectified. Last week they missed both trash and recycling on the Friday pickup and scheduled an emergency pickup for Tuesday. I didn't realize I had to specify they missed both because they only picked up the trash. Called back on Friday about the recycling because I wasn't sure if today was a recycling day, but was told I made the mistake of not specifying they missed both pickups. Was told last week a supervisor would likely call, they didn't, but to their credit they got my trash. It was funny that they missed the first pickup after they sent me my first bill for 4 months of service (3+1 for starting at the end of a quarter). I get stuff happens, but it's literally every week and their response is just to send emergency pickups the following week. Why am I paying full price for this service? They've claimed they fixed my route pickup twice now. Hopefully that's fixed. But I doubt it. Frustrating.

They exist to remove trash. They fail in that all of the time. Go with ANYONE else(Not a customer directly, my landlord is, and these guys are useless)

Honestly when we first started to use it nothing was wrong it got picked up and was on time. A cupel months went by no problem now all of a sudden I can’t get my recycling to get picked up. I have to call every other week. Now it’s just a waiting game. My recycling is overflowing every week. I would definitely not recommend them to anybody. Sad part I have a park that is right near my house that they turn around at and no one picks it up I know they see it and nothing I call and get no where.Service: Trash removal & disposal

I just watched a republic services truck drive up my street, back down in reverse, back around the corner to another street, then come forward again, picking up recycling. They did not take mine. I was standing on my porch waving at them. I moved my bins so they would be visible. Still nothing. Customer service says they'll come back for it Monday. This is constant, happens once a month or more. Any towns, cities, businesses or private individuals looking to hire this company will be seriously disappointed. The huge amount of taxes paid in this town (Arlington MA) should not require weekly calls for missed trash collection. Zero stars should really be an option.

Very unreliable service. I use republic services for weekly trash and recycling pick up. They miss just about every scheduled pickup and customer service tells me regularly that they will be back the next day, that rarely happens. The prices have went up and the quality is non existent. I have been a customer for over 10 years and would expect a little bit more.UPDATE..... IT IS NOW ONE YEAR LATER AND STILL MISSING PICK UPS. CURRENTLY STARING AT MY FULL CONTAINER AT BOTTOM OF DRIVEWAY WHICH WAS MISSED YESTERDAY. NO CALL NO SHOW, TYPICAL. PRICE WENT UP LAST BILLING CYCLE TOO ??to top off the horrible service with this company now I decided to cut ties after 14 years of price increases and missed pick ups they’re not allowing me to drop off my trash bins and charge me $80 to pick them up at my house one town over from where they’re coming to get them from! absolute worst trash removal company ever

Missing pickups regularly and raising rates since 2021! This company is trash tier and that's no pun (or fun). If you live or operate a business in the Webster, MA area, you are better off with any other company (Pratt, Casella, AJ's, Waste Managment, etc). And I would say, "at this time" but they've been struggling to service their accounts for the past 3 years now - but they still take on new accounts, raise rates, and operate like they're not falling apart at the seams - screwing paying customers out of a fair service.Republic, do not contact me - this is not salvageable. All of my properties will be swapped to another provider immediately and I'll never use your services again, ever. You've had years to clean it up at this point - you're just screwing people these days.

Republic Services was once a reliable company. In the last 6 months, they have missed pick ups consistently. The customer service rep says "they are coming" every time I call (yes, it has gotten to the point where I start calling at 2 to give them notice). Because our pick up is at the end of the week we often have to sit with the garbage and recycling until they can come on Monday. I don't appreciate being consistently lied to by the reps, nor do I appreciate trying to find where to put 2 days worth of trash and recycling when I am paying to not have to do that. We are no longer using this company, our patience has run out!

Hi, this is an update after the whole ordeal is done with now. The only way they paid me what they stole from me was to file in claims court in Worcester. Immediately after they received the notice that they were being called into court for stealing from me, they suddenly sent me a check for the exact amount they stole. This company lies and is covering up fraudulent illegal practices, and they need to be investigated for stealing from their customers. I have proof they stole, as evidenced by the court documents. -May 2023.Oct/Nov 2022- I’m appalled at their customer service. They are forcing me to take legal action since they are withholding my credit owed to me. They refuse to send me the credit they owe me when I moved out. They’re thieves and liars. I’ve already sent them the legal 30 day notice letter. If they don’t send me the credit owed to me, I will Be taking them to court. I have Documents showing my credit and they record their phone calls, and they still think they can get away with withholding my credit rightfully owed to me. It’s unbelievable they steal from people thinking just because they are a company that they will get away with it. I’m not lettingThem get away with it.Update: please see photo of the certified signature receipt from United States postal office confirming Republic Services received my 30 day letter to respond in writing and send me the credit they owe me within 30 days to avoid legal action.Also: see their response above asking me to email them? I did, They never responded or did anything.

I scheduled a bulk pickup of two items. A squat rack and a dresser. Republic services picked up one of them because a customer service person put down "chair" instead of squat rack. I was told they would come the next day to get it. Surprise, surprise. They didn't. It's now day 3 and they've "escalated" my request. They refuse to put me in touch with a supervisor and can't promise that it will actually be picked up today. Terribly run company. Don't use them and encourage your locality to use another service for waste management.
