Just bought a lawn tractor at Home Depot and received the shipping and tracking info the following week. I saw that the shipper was Estes Express Lines. I was like "who?!" I Googled them real quick, and was a bit freaked out by all of the really bad reviews. I was thinking "uh-oh this may not end well". I think some of that feeling was because I have had a few less-than-stellar experiences with Home Depot. Anyway, I got the tractor today. It WAS 1 day late, but the tracking and text messages I received from Estes were more detailed than USPS, UPS or Fedex, I was called last night (kind of a freaky bot call) to notify me of the delivery window, and the driver called about 30 minutes before delivery. The guy arrived right on time, unloaded the crate and put it right where I asked him to--which I was happy about since the crate weighed about 600lbs! So, just speaking from one experience, I was pleasantly surprised. If not for the 1-day late thing, which was no huge deal for me, I would have given them 4-stars.

This company has no business being in customer service. I am a Facilities Director for a non profit organization and ordered tile from Home Depot. Estes Express out of Seekonk Ma, was the delivery service. The driver left our large order at the wrong location that was not even similar to our address. We are located on Hood street and he left the delivery on Ray street. the driver was rude when called to explain himself and when I called to report to Estes local office in Seekonk where Tony the driver worked. They basically pretended they couldn't hear me when I stated I wanted to file a complaint and then hung up on me. When I called back, they shouted a profanity to me and hung up again. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with and I am going to make it my mission to leave negative reviews everywhere and report them to Home Depot as well.

This is probably the worse and least professional service I have ever encounter in my life. The service is not only terrible, it is rude, unprofessional and stuck in the early XX Century. I moved my stuff from another country. First, they were not able to deliver it 2 blocks from the original place, not even if I paid for it. Second, the people who answer the phone are rude. Third, they do not have cell phones, so they cannot tell you when they are coming. I suggest you NEVER use this service. It is only horrible people, horrible service...

I just had the worst experience with Estes-express of Avon. The driver was rude, I will not call him ignorant like he called me but he is a j**** I paid for a delivery he came earlier in this week and reported that he was not able to deliver so they wanted to charge me a re-delivery fee luckily they waived the this re-delivery fee but when they came back the driver was terrible to work with. Avoid this company.!

This is quite possibly the worst business I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. I joined Yelp specifically so I could warn people about this company. I was moving across the country and I wanted to ship my mattress because it was very new and quite nice and I did not want to have to get a new one. After looking around for the cheapest option, I found Estes and, despite the bad reviews I saw online, I went with them. I called them and asked them how to properly package my mattress and they told me boxing it up would be fine and that the driver wouldn't take it if they thought it would be a problem. So I went out of my way to find a mattress sized box and, in addition, I packaged it in a plastic bag made for mattresses to protect it from water and dirt. When they picked up my mattress it was wrapped and boxed. When I received the mattress, the box was completely gone and the plastic was ripped to shreds, barely hanging on. The mattress itself was completely covered in dirt and had a massive hole in the bottom. Essentially, it was destroyed. I filed a claim for the cost of the mattress because it was no longer usable and I had to get a new one. They rejected my claim, because they only reimburse people for 10 cents per pound. So they have zero liability even if they completely fail to provide the service you pay for and destroy the product you shipped. The 10 cents per pound ended up being 25 dollars. But instead of doing that math themselves when I initially filed the claim (which would have taken them all of 30 seconds) they are making me completely refile again just to get the 25 dollars. I cannot stress enough that you should not use this company. I read reviews that described the same thing that happened to me and ignored it. Don't make my mistake. There are plenty of shipping companies out there and paying the extra money is well worth it. Estes has no liability and couldn't care less if they destroy your items. They get your money, and there is nothing you can do to get it back. As I said when I started this post, this is the worst experience I have every had with another company.
