My dog had his first grooming session at Petco; he was a few months old. I had Shannon and Leslie. Because of my schedule, I ended up having Karen on Sundays. Karen never reported that my dog Lemarcus was aggressive. At 3 years old, Karen called me and returned me Lemarcus with no mercy, no compassion, and no grace. She said that he bit her with an open bruise. I went to pick him up but I didn’t see a bandage or a dressing. She recommended him to private groomers, and when I asked for a list, she told me to google. Of course google is my best friend; I googled mobile grooming cause I know about mobile vet.
Really Karen? What is the problem between you and I? I’m trying to understand. I’m a mental health counselor, so I have a busy schedule. Lemarcus is fully vaccinated, but it was so hard for me to find a groomer. He shedded in my car like crazy because Karen started to trim him. I had to use my imagination and google mobile grooming. I paid $115 and 20% tip for my baby. I will never recommend anyone to Petco! Karen, you have no grace. Pictures: left Karen’s day, right mobile grooming. Good experience for my first visit. Good customer service and the ladies love our pets. I was pleased and do recommend. They do have a very small waiting area for customers & their pets big and small.

Took my dog Coquito to this Petco Avon location for a groom for the first time today and booked with Lesley based on the reviews citing her and a personal recommendation from a friend. She did amazing!!! We let her know that our dog was clipper burned in his private areas by a Petsmart groomer in Braintree last year and that my dog was seriously depressed and physically scarred for weeks after that and that because of this he’d probably be a bit nervous coming in for a groom again even though it’s been a year (we’ve been grooming him at home since the Petsmart incident).
Lesley was so considerate, patient, and didn’t resort to shaving my dog down to his skin just to make her job easier- she was the real deal and provided the best even/detailed cut for my baby! I will definitely be trusting her with my fur baby again🥹 thank you so much Lesley, you helped Coquito and me confront our fears today!🩷

The groomers at this location are wonderful. They are always friendly and do a great job on my dogs nails.

Has a bad smell in the store. Like some sort of decay. I was looking for a dog harness but had to leave due to the pungent smell. If i need petco, ill be driving to braintree if it is still there or another location
