Good group of folks, only got an inspection this time but my buddy in Shirley has been bringing his vehicles there for years (both personal and small company fleet) and never been wronged. I also hear tell they have good experience with GM top end issues, so if you drive one of those nightmares and it is acting up like normal give them a shout

I believe the owner’s name is Mike, is great. Just moved to the area recently and we chose to go here based off of the great reviews they have on Google. The reviews didn’t disappoint, the owner and other workers here are super friendly, treating you like you’re a good friend of theirs. Unfortunately the two times we’ve been, we missed out on the dogs but we heard of you go before 2, you’ll have a good chance of seeing them. If you want to support a friendly and good small business come here.

I am new in town. I pretty much hate the anxiety of getting my car inspected. Yes, anxiety! Mike and crew has magically erased years of stress associated with this yearly task. Genuinely, authentically kind and friendly, personable and reflects a good neighborly vibe. Nice people, great experience. I have found “ My Mechanic”. I am grateful.

If you're looking for a fair, reasonably priced and friendly mechanic, My Mechanic is the spot for you. I've been going there for years. I have always been treated with professionalism and never over sold. Mike and his wife are great! Mike takes care of fixing the cars and his wife does the inspections. Never any grease left on my seats or any where else in the car!

Came here in 2012/2013 with a car I no longer own, the guys here were unprofessional. Did not want to listen to me and charged a lot for a small job. Unhelpful. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I usually don’t post reviews unless you’re really good or really bad. Today I went to get my truck inspected like I have for the last 20 years here and today was the last time. It’s not like it was when Steve was there. He was a nice guy. His kid and his wife very rude. I politely said stated please don’t get any grease in my truck as it’s happened in the past. No big deal, I just don’t want to nor shouldn’t have to clean up a mess left behind by a mechanic. When I made the comment the girl snookered at me and pretty much ignored me. I said is there a problem. She said no. I said ok good. I asked the kid who she was and he said that’s his wife. I said ok. Why is she so rude when I politely asked to not get grease in my truck. His response was that’s a kind of unnecessary comment or something along that line. He also said she doesn’t even work on cars. I’m like why is she here inspecting my truck if she’s not qualified to work on cars?? Anyway, if I hadn’t had grease in my truck from a previous time I wouldn’t have said anything.
I go here just to get my truck inspected. Nothing else.
As the saying goes. Those who want respect, give respect. Otherwise you’re gonna have a real problem. A big one. Smarten up kids.

We were told by a Chevy dealer in Fitchburg that we needed front brakes in about a month. Went to My Mechanic in Ayer.They said they didn’t need to be done for at least 6 oil changes from now. They could have just replaced them but they told us the truth. Honest mechanics are hard to come by. You sold us. We just found a new mechanic. Thanks.
