What a shame! Used to love coming in here, had great variety and pretty good pricing a few years ago. Recently, the newer staff members haven’t been hospitable at all to say the least.I spoke with an older staff member on the phone that was extremely knowledgeable on and was told he’d be more than happy for me to bring in a vintage guitar for them to look at.Upon arriving, a very young man immediately stopped me and said “No no no no no, I just got a bunch of equipment in. Try the pawn shop”I find it a little strange that he wasn’t even willing to look at the guitar considering his coworker told me to bring it in. Granted, if it were a beat up Squire I would understand: but the dismissive and irritable attitude will probably make me reconsider where I go for new equipment in the future. (to be fair it was a $1900 guitar)

Best prices. Best people. Best options. If your not sure what you need they'll help you. The repairs are amazing. Lessons are amazing. My dad used to go here (he's since passed) and now we go for my children. It's been around forever, we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Charlie's music is great. I wish I could remember the name of the person that helped my son and I last week. He was so helpful with my son, he showed him all of the great features on a used Fender "The Twin". My son was looking for a tube amp but couldn't make up his mind, because of the help he received at Charlies he bought the amp. My son also had them do some work on his guitar last year and they did an excellent job. I highly recommend Charlies, they know what they are doing.

They stole money from my son. He bought items and needed to return them. They gave him a hard time when everything was in perfect condition. It was like 2 days after he bought it. They gave him back 300 instead of 444 he was owed. Trash people.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. They take their time to help even with more complex component issues. One staff member even took the time to review a manual of an older virtual amp that I have so that I could patch in a looper pedal. Competitive prices for a local independent shop.

Place is awesome. I brought in a children's Guitar for a quick repair. They did it on the spot. More than fair pricing. I bought a djembe and some shaker eggs for the kids while there too. Great place Great people.

Avoid like the plague. Having worked as a professional musician for 25 years, I’ve been to almost every Pro Audio/Music store in LA, NYC, Boston, and the DC area. This place gets the distinguished award for worst music store ever!I brought a very basic preamp in for repairs due to a loud 60 HZ hum. Was also hoping they could repair one of the LED lights, but was mainly just concerned with the noise issue. When returning to pick up the preamp, the employee that did the ‘repairs’ happily excepted my payment and then plugged the unit in to show me his work. He was very proud that he was able to get the LED light working again, but as loud as ever, there was the same 60 HZ hum. He said that this was strange because he didn’t hear the noise in their workshop. He then asked if I wanted to ‘put a cap on how much more I wanted to spend’ in order to repair it. But wait, I had just paid for my device to be repaired? They do not stand by their work and would not attempt to repair it again without further payment so I left with my still broken preamp. Wonderful business model. On another occasion, I brought in a recently purchased used guitar for a setup. The owner opened the case and asked what I paid for it. I told him and he responded, “you got stuffed”. Aside from being extremely rude - he was wrong. I spent a good deal of time tracking and pricing them online. One star for the younger guitar tech who did a very good setup job and was very nice.
