Worthless. Booked a mid size awd vehicle two months before Christmas and when we arrived all that was available was electric forcing us to take one or staying at the car rental center another 6 hours. When I tried to exchange the car that was forced on me they refused to exchange my car due to it being electric. I spent good money on a company that does not value a customer who planned and depended on them to just to reserve a car I paid for. Screw this place I will never rent here again or recommend to my worst enemy. If no stars was possible it’s what it deserves

Never under ANY circumstances rent a car with this place. They are absolutely horrible to work with, and they didn’t even have my car THAT I HAD A RESERVATION FOR! The people at the front desk were horrible and treated me so poorly, and when I started asking questions she got frustrated with me, cancelled my order and refused to speak to me at all. Then, when I asked for proof of cancellation she refused to give me anything.I will NEVER book through this place again, and I seriously recommend anyone looking for a car look elsewhere.

I had an incredibly unhelpful experience at this location. After being rented an unsafe car at Boston Logan Dollar Rental and driving to the Cape, I was trying to exchange for a well maintained vehicle. After spending a lot of time navigating through Dollar's automated customer service, they gave me the number to Hyannis Dollar and told me they would be the best option for an exchange. I spent a full morning repeatedly calling this location to confirm they would have a car for me, but after 9 attempts it was clear they do not answer their phone. I then drove the 40 minutes to talk to someone in person, only to be rebuffed by an unhelpful staff that couldn't care less. They told me I could call back the next day, but I wasn't going to waste anymore of my vacation on this pointless endeavor. I eventually got another car with a different company, something I should have done in the first place.

I was given great service at the counter and able to get the vehicle I wanted. Had a great conversation with one of the staff members and understood the coverage I needed on the rental. Will recommend to other locals on the Cape!

Never, Never, never, never never rent a car with these people.I rented a car through booking.com I paid 145.91 in advance and the rest would be paid at the counter (about 75.00).I took out the insurance and added another driver. I was charged another 720.00…They use it in bad faith. I thought this amount would be the 500.00 they withhold on the credit card, but no…. They are dishonest...

I rented a car from Dollar in Hyannis MA on 7/25/21 through Expedia. rental agrement # 57103643 for a Dodge RamI arrived to pick up the car and was told by the Dollar employee that the car I reserved had already been rented to someone else. Stranded with all of my stuff, I was forced to accept the only car they had remaining- a hard top Jeep gladiator. I returned the car to NYC and paid the balance in full.Unfortunately, the original Dodge Ram for $284 was never removed from my reservation number- so Dollar had me renting two vehicles picking up from Hyannis and returning to NYC on the same day. I refused to pay for the vehicle I did not receive (the dodge ram) and as I can't possibly have driven TWO vehicles at the same time I requested they revoke the charge for the Ram. Instead, dollar continued to send me past due notices- and everytime i called, they said they would remove the second car from my reservation...but never did. I am now on Dollar/Hertz/Thrifty's "do not rent to" list- simply because I refused to pay for a car I did not receive.The last time I spoke with the supervisor Josh from Dollar- employee id #3210 said I should just dispute it with my bank, which I did and now I am on the "do not rent" list.kindly look into rental agreement # 571103643 Invoice date 10.06.2020 and you will see TWO vehicles listed- only one which was received but both were charged for- dodge ram and jeep gladiator hard top.AVOID DOLLAR!!!!

Should have read the reviews before renting from Dollar, but I thought I was protected by using Expedia...boy I was wrong! Stick to Enterprise on Iyannough Road! I got to say "Hertz "Dollar rental at the hyannis airport has been a very good place to rent a car, "Jeff has been always very helpful and has gone out of his way to make sure that my car rental experience will be as good as i am hoping for. "Jeff has always been very kind as very helpful in my car rental experience . I strongly suggest that you go talk to jeff about all of your car rental needs, "You will always hear about some people who are not honest about there car rental experience and will tell you things that are not true I have been renting at the hyannis airport for over 5 years and every time that i have rented a car "I was always treated very kind and with a lot of respect of helping me with my rental needs. "

DO NOT USE DOLLAR RENTAL CAR. I had a rental lined up for pickup Saturday at 1:00. I noticed just before leaving to pickup at 1, that the store closed at 1. I tried calling and didn't get through to anyone.When I arrived the next morning for my car (that I was charged for) - Jeff G said it had already been rented out. And even though they offer a 2 hour window to pick up cars - my car was not held at all for me. When I asked - Jeff said he was at their office until 1:30 - so I could've showed up - even though (as he admitted) - calls do forward so there was no way for me to reach him and know he was there.Lastly - I went ahead and booked another car from Dollar on the spot to see if they had a car available. And it let me book the car. But Jeff said that he personally goes through and calls back customers to confirm, so just because it books, doesn't mean you have it. Yet - he didn't call or warn me of my car getting rented to another customer . . Moral of the story - save your money and use a reputable rental car company and not this one.

trying to call this location of dollar rentacar is apparently not possible. I just spent 20 minutes of my life calling various numbers and being transferred and I never got a straight answer from anyone.

Well they are completely full of crap here. Especially if you're booking through kayak you'll be especially disappointed to find out there are numerous hidden fees and a rude counter person. They also do not honor their contracts that are made online so if you've done that you've wasted your time. I was supposed to pay $210 for a weekly car rental. I get down here it's $585 and they want me to take a smaller car.
