I had a reservation for 10am pick up and 10am return the next day. At 7:50am, I was notified I had picked up my car even though I hadn’t reach HYA yet and this triggers a 2nd day charged.
I get to the counter at 9:30am to pick up the keys and I bring this up to her attention. She said “the system will adjust when I return the car the next day.” Sure enough it did not when I returned the car the next day at 9:15am, within the day limit, and charged for a 2nd day.
Be sure to review your statement closest as the person at the desk is new or trying to get Hertz an extra day of revenue.

Do not rent from Hertz. They gave me a car that shouldn’t have been rented to anyone as there was major mechanical issues ( you couldn’t drive on the highway with it as when you did a deafening noise would reverberate through the car) it also stunk of weed and cigarettes. Customer service was appalling. I’m a Hertz gold member president’s circle so you would think I would receive good customer service. Nope I was on the phone with them for 2 days for over 2 hours at a time trying to get a new vehicle. Their only solutions were for me to take it to a garage and get it fixed on my holiday or drive for over an hour with a tow truck driver. I mean if I wasn’t so shocked by their lack of customer service I would laugh. I will never rent from them again.

This was the car rental from HELL!!. I rented the vehicle through Expedia. Hertz gave me a vehicle with an expired REGISTRATION!!
Did not notice(why would I look) until pulled over by police for a random check. Thankfully my husband is retired cop and had a really nice officer who let us go and instructed us to get with Hertz ASAP. Well the customer service was horrible . They told me I had to drive an unregistered vehicle almost an hour to pick up another one. This all happened eight days into our vacation. Thankfully there were no incidents. They wanted to offer me $100.00 for compensation. What A joke. It took four phones to get someone that expedited my compensation. Not holding my breathe. They wanted me to get compensation through Expedia, I told them that Hertz gave me an unregistered vehicle not Expedia. Still pending but like I said not holding my breathe. I give HERTZ ZERO STARS and never rent from them again. It wouldn't let me post unless I gave a star. No surprise there!!!

Worst place to rent it. And the worst customer service I had with HERTZ. Called 9 times, 9 times she is putting me on HOLD for one hour while I am telling her that I have emergency. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!! TERRIBLE!!!!!!

Ms T at the Hyannis Airport pick up is outstanding! I arrived 14min before opening of 8am to get my car, hoping I could leave early as the night before my flight out of Hyannis with American Airlines was canceled. Miss T saw the sadness and desperation in my eyes to get going, and despite the hectic morning that was being had with a heavy return day, she got me taken care of right away and on my way I was so thankful for this experience.

Booked a rental, when I went to go prepay for a company trip with our ecards they told me there was. “Hidden fee” of $200 bringing my total over $1000. Just be aware when renting online when you show up to pick the car up they will hit you with the hidden fee.

Bring your business elsewhere. Rented a car, received email confirmation; everything was accurate. Show up, no cars available. Customer service is horrendous. Received major sass from whoever answers the telephone & was ignored / hung up on.

Best rental experience I've had. Our flight was cancelled in Nantucket with the prospect of a few days delay before we could be rebooked to Philadelphia. Not pleasant. There was a rush of people trying to book the ferry and cars in Hyannis with VERY limited supply. I was so fortunate to speak with Alina who was incredibly helpful and courteous. Mind you, this is a small airport with very limited supply, especially for one way trips. She came through for us, a bright spot on an otherwise challenging day. Many others were stuck in the airport and/or seeking alternative arrangements. My family was delighted by the 2024 Expedition she was able to get us. High marks all around!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Hertz. When I booked my rental car and made a payment online, there was no information provided about not being able to use a debit card for the remaining payment. On the day of pickup, after traveling to the location and preparing to pay the balance, the representative informed me that debit cards were not accepted. This crucial detail should have been communicated clearly before the selection and payment process. This lack of transparency caused significant inconvenience and frustration. I expected better from Hertz and will reconsider using their services in the future.
