Bought a 2024 Can-Am outlander fresh off the showroom floor with 3 miles on it Sales team was good, Less than six months into ownership, I sent it to the dealer because it sounded like it was ticking Assuming it would be under warranty When it was a brand new machine Instead of opening a warranty claim the 20-year-old kids who run the service Department charged me $500 to tell me nothing was wrong Absolutely ridiculous would never recommend This dealership to anyone I asked to speak to the manager or owner and got told to pay the bill and that was it. You would think the owner would have a little more pride in his customer service. Not to mention when they did the oil change the first time The oil level wasn’t at the correct level I think it is time for some quality control in their service!!!
Five years ago I bought a machine from the same dealership And it was a Night and day difference It is such a shame

I would not recommend doing business with Higgins Powersports. They do not honor their commitments with their customers.

The business practices at Higgins Motor Sports are extremely disappointing. I purchased a brand-new Side by Side from them and made sure it was serviced after every ride. Any time there was even a minor issue, I brought it in for them to fix. If they found something wrong that I didn’t notice, I had them repair it as well.
Despite this, the electronics randomly failed. I later discovered the fuse box had no cover, which allowed corrosion to ruin the wiring. The shop told me all the wiring had to be replaced—over a $4,000 service bill. I explained that I had never opened the hood and that they had clearly forgotten to install the cover, so the damage should be their responsibility. The mechanics and shop manager agreed with me, and at first it looked like the issue would be resolved.
However, once the GM became involved, everything changed. Instead of addressing the problem fairly, he was dismissive, rude, and insulting. They refused to fix the issue or take responsibility, leaving me with a broken machine and a massive bill.
This is unacceptable customer service. I can’t see myself ever doing business with Higgins Motor Sports again, and I would strongly caution others before trusting them with a purchase or service.

I’ve now bought 4 machines from higgins. Sam and angel are fantastic to deal with, they make it a very easy buying and selling. Very friendly and outgoing and they know their stuff!!! Great people over at higgins definitely recommend buying from them.

If you’re in Massachusetts and looking for top-notch service or warranty work on your Polaris Slingshot, do yourself a favor and head out to Higgins Powersports in Barre — it’s absolutely worth the drive! With fewer and fewer shops offering quality Slingshot service in the region, Higgins stands out in the best way possible.
The team was honest, communicative, and professional from start to finish. While my issue didn’t end up being a major repair, the way they handled it—with integrity and skill—spoke volumes. Good communication and fair service are hard to come by these days, especially for Slingshot owners.
Big thanks to the crew at Higgins. They’ve earned my business and my trust.

Sam and Brent really make you feel at home! We purchased a side-by-side and an ATV.
Sam was super knowledgeable of almost every department within and personally made the buying process simple and easy! We were loaded up and on our way in a few short hours. (Not even?) She made sure staff worked together to make that possible- on top of doing the paperwork!

Brent sold me on a helmet... 3 actually lol he showed me cool features on helmets I picked out, that I didn't know existed, which made buying them totally worth it! He was promt on answering questions and had a very good sense of backroom inventory.

just purchased a 2024 40th anniversary ZX4 RR, Samantha made the process painless, quick, easy and was super helpful at every turn of the way. I brought my four daughters under five with me and Samantha was an angel with them and gave them some stuff to color with. Truly incredible people. I will definitely be coming to do business with them again. Everybody here is super nice and helpful.
