Bell and Hudson is one of Western Massachusetts longest running businesses. The business was started by Frederick Taylor, of Granby, MA. He started an insurance business to protect his holdings during the time of the Civil War. George Bell, also of Granby, bought the business in 1913 and took Byron Hudson as a partner in the 1930's, hence creating Bell & Hudson Insurance Agency.
