Nice Irish pub in the center of town. Not a very large place, so it can be crowded and noisy, but fun. Food was good, service was excellent. Well worth stopping by.

McCarthy's Pub was built in 1835 as the Belchertown Classical School. However, the school failed and the building was turned into the Belcher House. The Belcher House eventually became the Park Lane Inn and extended from where it sits now to where the Belchertown EMT/Ambulance sits today. The current owner, Janice McCarthy, purchased the Pub in 1983. Over the years, the small town atmosphere of Belchertown has slowly evolved, but one thing remains constant... whether you search for a quench to your thirst, a dinner with family and friends, a short respite during that long motorcycle ride or a simple stop at the end of your tiring day, you are sure to be welcomed with a smile and friendly laughter at the Pub.
