Super Vanak is a great, authentic Persian grocery store and a true gem for the Persian community and beyond. It is a very chic and elegant store with character, offering a large variety of high-quality, hard-to-find items. These include authentic Iranian cuisine, spices, rice, sweets, freshly baked bread, and many other pantry staples. The selection is unmatched and helps combat homesickness. While prices can be a bit higher, the excellent quality makes it worth it. The store itself is clean, well-organized, and filled with the rich aroma of Persian spices. The service is top notch, with a super friendly owner and staff who are helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate. The overall feeling is warm and welcoming. For those looking for prepared food, there is also a great restaurant right next door with very good, legit Persian cuisine. Super Vanak is highly recommended.
I’m just a khareji boy with an affinity for Persian culture and food, but I somehow felt at home at Super Vanak. The selection of spices and dairy products in particular stunned me, as well as Tehrangeles-made dishware.
