I have loved this church from the very first day I drove through the town and noticed that there was a harvest bazaar like there was in Revere when I was growing up. I went in to the church where they were holding their event, and immediately was drawn to two ladies who were showing their stamps and card making class they taught. I came to know them as Doris Ann and her friend Kim stone. The best part of the church for me was the adult Bible study. I signed up with Beth Loughead’s class and I’m so glad I got to know Beth, her spirit and mind, and her beautiful family. And then there was the class filled with fantastically intelligent and spiritual members of the church, most of whom had been with the first Baptist Church multiple decades. I was brand new but I felt like I fit in. When Beth eventually retired, it was also a change in the clock time on Sunday and it took many of us a while to adjust to, and just as I began to get adjusted, Covid struck. I felt so lost when I couldn’t see the people from church every week. And then my health intervened and I wasn’t able to go because I was just too uncomfortableTo sit through the pain. But I want to say that when this pandemic is over I hope God returns me to better health so I can return to church.

First I was late because church started at ten. I got there at about ten thirty and found I had not missed anything. I got to see the new members but what bothered me was the sermon was about 15 minutes. Food for thought and my soul no not more than a kernel. Fine the church is studying a book as a group but for someone looking for a church I felt it was lacking. Would I go back probably not! I love Jesus and want food for my soul and daily life not a snippet relating to a book they are studying as a parish!

The church is committed to spreading god's love to all and to serve a vital role in promoting social justice in the broader community. And the folks here are so nice and friendly!
