I attended an open house Shari and Steven McStay hosted for 151 Goodale St. Peabody, MA with my family on 1/23/2021. We have arrived on time for our 1:15 PM appointment. After our arrival, 2 more families arrived. Shari came outside and asked if we had an appointment and we said we did. She said she didn't see our name even though we gave her our agent's name, which was on the paper she held in her hand. She then asked the other people and allowed another family to enter and asked us to wait. I understand that she may have not seen the name on the paper (we had our tour guide's name on the paper and the agent). After the family entered she told us and the other family who did not have an appointment that the sellers are not interested in offers from people who are trying to sell their property and people who don't have a preapproval. We confirmed that we meet both criteria. She then asked us where we had our preapproval from, which is none of her business and she did not ask that to the other family or the first family she let in. The last thing she did was asking us how we would manage our 3 kids and that all of us need to sanitize our hands. This too was not asked the first family and I did not see it being asked to the next family as well (she may have asked it after us I am not sure). After I showed her our appointment from my phone she showed me the paper and apologized. But the attitude and the questions we were asked made me believed that we were not welcomed and I hope this is just a misunderstanding and has nothing to do with our ethnic/religious background. Steven, on the other hand, was very courteous and welcoming. But due to being extremely frustrated with all the "extra" questions, on top of the attitude we were given, we did not want to tour the house anymore and left after seeing the basement.

Regarding their agent, MAGGIE PRATT: We first met Maggie in July 2021 when we inquired about a 17th century, historic home in desperate need of restoration. When she met us at the house, it was quite obvious that she was not only a professional realtor who was happy to show us the house, she was ready for an adventure. This was the defining theme for the seven months spent searching for, buying, and closing on our dream home here in the North Shore. My husband and I were looking for something with "historic charm," and that could be anything from an 18th century colonial to a 1969 Cape with an original pink bathroom. Maggie quickly understood what we wanted and absolutely respected our budget. She showed us all sorts of houses that were quirky, weird, and wonderful. She was always honest about the repairs needed to be done and if she didn’t know something she went straight to the sellers’ realtor with questions. When our offer was accepted on the house we are currently moving into, Maggie stuck with us through the entire process — the bid, the paperwork, the laws, the mortgage, the closing, etc. She fights for her clients and will go through great lengths to push things forward and get answers. She was constantly in touch with us and we never felt in the dark or abandoned. She is professional, knows her stuff, and can move mountains when things get bumpy. I am so happy Maggie was our realtor, and I am deeply honored to now call her a friend. She is a good person with integrity and tons of grit. If you want a realtor you can trust and who won’t ignore you, go with Maggie Pratt! She’s the best.

Met up with possible rental agent. His name was Nicholas. Nicest person ever. Definitely would use him as a real estate agent possibly in the future.

Someone from this un-real estate company keeps cold calling me under the guise of "oh do I have the correct number?" I'm on the Do Not Call list and have told them to not contact me again but have received several cold calls from them. I'm not in the market for a new house and have never looked them up or called them! I will never use them if I do ever need to sell my house. At first I thought it was a scam but now I believe they're just unscrupulous employees! Ridiculous!

We had a great experience with Paul and his team. They were responsive, strategic, and kept our best interests in mind. We really appreciated that we never felt pressured. We ended up having an opportunity to move into an apartment owned by my boyfriend's family in an amazing community, so we decided to put our house search on hold and save more (especially given how competitive the market is now). We felt badly telling Paul that we were going to halt our search, but he was genuinely understanding and we know he will be there for us when we are ready to buy a home. How he responded speaks volumes about doing what is right his clients.

Like any place of this nature, you're nothing more than a credit score. Expect rude email treatment if you don't qualify.

What I found with Matt Munson and Shea Pillsbury, the dynamic duo of Keller Williams, in Beverly, MA, is that they are not only very capable and excellent at explaining things, they are also extremely kind and generous with their time and hands-on efforts. Everything felt much less overwhelming than it would otherwise. The group of 5 other agents that we interviewed had far more experience as agents but were either difficult to understand or acted sort of self-important or were very nice and knowledgeable but... it was so extremely helpful to have an agent with a truck to help me move some of our furniture to storage or to donate to the assisted living home. Plus the people Matt and Shea suggested for house cleaning and the legal assistance were also very kind and easy to communicate with. We really worked well as a team. I plan to use them again when my husband’s parents leave their home. Even though it is more than an hour away from their office they have said they can do it.

Liars. Led a pocket sale with my landlord and told me I would not be displaced when I asked. I was displaced. If you're a tenant, don't trust any of these people. They're dishonest and unprofessional. Especially Alexis and her sidekick. On my move out day, Alexis got the dates wrong and scheduled multiple inspections to which I denied (I had a moving company on site) reminding them that I was paying to live there. The woman got huffy and gave me attitude, but I'll be damned if I was going to let them into my apartment before they were allowed. She's lucky I wanted my security deposit back or I would have went up one side and down the other.

From the first formal meeting with Ann Gray at her office to the closing, she were extremely pleasant and provided abundance of helpful information. Every step of purchasing a home was explained perfectly and really put our minds at ease. Every question we had was answered professionally and telephone calls were always returned promptly. The line of communication was continuously open either by text or phone.

I haven't dealt with anyone at this office directly but they cold call my house at least once a day if not more. There is a reason we signed up for a no call list and don't pick up. When we do need a real estate company it will not be this one.
