Saw a vehicle advertised thru CarGurus that I was interested in. Requested info online and received a series of text messages thru car gurus to set up a test drive. I was told to call the dealer directly to confirm. First call- no answer- well into business hours- so I left a voicemail message explaining I lived an hour and a half away so I wanted confirmation that the car was available and to call me. Waited two hours- no call back. Called again - this time no voice mail- it just disconnected. If this company wants to sell cars thru an online source they need to up their game in responding to legitimate inquiries.I really like the car I saw and was ready to put 50% down on it and buy it today. Now instead I'm writing a review and going elsewhere. EPIC FAIL!

We had the most pleasant and chill experience buying our "new to us" car from BM Best. The owner, Fannie, was extremely nice and very service- oriented. The car, a 2009 Acura sedan, was in excellent condition and fairly priced. The transaction was a breeze and she did all the registration work right there in the office - we drove away with the car very pleased. We would highly recommend this used car dealer!

Poor service. I purchased a 2011 Hyundai Elantra in May of 2020. Not even 3 months of having the car I had to finance a new car. I called since the engine light was on, but since there was a recall on the vehicle I took it to the dealership and that's when I found out the car wasn't even suitable to drive let alone be on the road. Not only did I pay in full, I lost over 8000 on the car since I replaced under the car all tires, roders, coils the works. I would never recommend this place not even to my worse enemy. The prices are great but the quality sucks. Never again

I bought a truck from them a year ago and have already had to have the frame welded twice because of cracks and now there's another couple cracks starting and on top of that the fender is completely rusted out as are the rockers. A year later it barely got a sticker. I would personally stay away. Worst vehicle i have ever owned. So glad they gave me a "good deal." Would give zero stars if i could.

Sold us a piece of junk. Tom said he would fix anything that may be broken or prevent it from running. Have now spent over $1200 in repairs after buying this car a month and a half ago. Tom is also racist, and likes to go on tirades if he feels comfortable with you. We should have known, never trust a bigot.

My 16 year old daughter trcently bought her first car from Ultimate Auto. Tom gave her a great deal. The car did not pass inspection because of a minor emissions problem. Tom had it fixed quickly and without complaint. I would HIGHLY recommend Ultimate Auto to anyone looking for affordable, reliable transportation.

I saw an ad on craigslist for a 98 Honda Civic for 1,500 bucks with a licensed dealer attached to the ad. Up to this point I only sought out individuals selling cars because I couldn't find any dealers selling cars within my price range, which is 2 grand or under. I actually was told by Marshall Motors in Beverly that I won't find any licensed dealer selling anything under $3,500/4,000. I just wanted a cheap reliable car that will last me long enough to get myself something more stable. I went down and met Tom, the owner, and his adorable little dog Pudge. You can sometimes tell a lot about someone by looking at their dog, and both are very friendly. I took the car for a test drive, liked it, and put 100 bucks down as a deposit to hold onto it until the title came in. Then I would be ready to buy. Tom told me to give at least a week or 2 for the title because sometimes they take a little longer to come in. I gave it 2 weeks, still no title. So I stopped by to see what else he had in my price range. He showed me a 2005 Kia, really good condition, clean, drove smoothly. Very nice. I asked how much, he said 2,000, but due to the wait for the title he brought it down to the price of the car I was originally getting and gave me a GREAT deal for $1,500.

Selling "junk" cars promising they'll get everything fixed and ready for inspection, for a price we have agreed on, and then start making up stories it's going to be ready today, tomorrow, in two days etc.

Back for number 4! Already bought 3 cars from them, but.... through my own fault , I neglected the Timing Belt on the Kia Optima I purchased at Ultimate Auto 16 months ago. ( Little note, KIA before 2006 had belts, not chains as I believed.) I really liked that car, it was a great deal from Ultimate, if I knew it had a belt I would have replaced it. I knew the car had miles on it but it ran great (Till it didn't). Wish I had replaced the belt. Oh well, learned something anyway, back to the current deal. I had noticed Ultimate had a couple really clean cars in Beverly, and when I called I found out they have a new lot on Route 1 at the Topsfield / Ipswich line. Couple nice cars there as well. When I went to check them out and test drive, most of the really nice cars, VWs, Hundai, another KIA Optima, were actually 5 speed manual transmission. I can drive anything, but at my age/knees and with MASS traffic, I would rather not do clutches. At the new lot in Ipswich there was a SUPER clean, low mileage, 2005 Chevy Venture van w/electric wheel chair lift in the back, auto trans. Tom said it was there for a couple of months and not generating interest. My guess is the lift was scaring people off, because the car was really very nice. He gave me a very reasonable price as I am a repeat customer, and he wanted to move the vehicle. I think the lift will be handy, can move a snowblower to my kids house if I have to, and if it turns out not to be useful, a couple of bolts and wires and I can remove it and sell it for a couple dollars. The van has NO rust, one small dent, almost new tires, a new muffler, power everything including passenger sliding door, front and back AC, and sailed through inspection easier than any vehicle I ever bought ! The guys at Ultimate were also helpful with removing the KIA ( going to miss that car, replace your timing belts people!) when the tow company couldn't get to it for some time. I wish them best of luck at the new location, which is just north of the auto auction house on Route One. Check them out next time you need transportation.
