I am the owner of a five-speed 1993 Volvo 240 Classic that I’ve had for 33 years and absolutely adore. Sadly, when I forgot to replace the oil cap on the engine after topping off the oil, I caused catastrophic damage to my engine. I was devastated and spent weeks doing research and trying without any luck to find somebody willing to rebuild it. Until I contacted Bo, master Volvo mechanic and owner of AutoMotion Volvo & Saab Specialists. Bo said, “Don’t worry. I’ll get her back on the road for you.” And true to his word, he did. He rebuilt my engine in record time. He also replaced my clutch and odometer. Now my car is running like new. Even though I live 70 miles from his shop, I would gladly entrust my car to him again. Bo is honest, fair, and willing to do what other mechanics aren’t. I’d recommend him in a heartbeat. Great job, Bo!

A newly purchased used car needed a new engine- Automotion was able to deal with the extended warranty and put in the engine as promptly as they could despite the warranty end taking its time. I appreciate the time they took and got the car running again!

I have been a Saab owner for over 30 years, most of which I purchased from Automotion from Boe and his son Paul. Boe used to write articles for the Saab Magazine and visit their home base in Sweden. He can diagnose a problem from my making the noise I heard. Honest and trustworthy. I now own an '08 9-5 which I bought from him last year when my '07 died sadly of radiator failure with over 200000 miles on her. I only have 112000 on my current classic. Great deal. Great people.

Paul and Bo are genuine great mechanics like you can't find anymore, they know their craft and they will diagnose your car (not only Saab or Volvo) with all their experience, not only relying on computers to tell them what's wrong. Great guys and great place to take your car for any kind of maintenance.

Quick service, excellent quality of work with pride in craftsmanship. The price was fantastic. The owners worked to find the best price on the parts needed. Labor rate was very affordable. A great family owned operation. I'd take my daily driver to them or my track car. Their reputation is Saab and Volvo specialist but they specialize in customer service and superior quality of work. They can tackle any job on any brand.

My 2010 BMW 535i was at Foreign Motors for a couple of months due to the engine misfiring. They said they replaced the sparkplugs and coil and that it must be an internal problem or that my engine could be gone. I dropped my car off at Automotion on Tuesday night 4/9/2024 and received a call the next day that my car was all set and has never run better. If I could give Automotion 10 stars I would. I will never bring my car any where else but Automotion for repairs. I could not be happier and so grateful I got a second opinion before I was going to have it towed to the junk yard.

This business has allowed itself to become covered in lying political signs posted there by George Simolaris. They either explicitly want them posted on their business or are doing nothing about it. No one should endorse a single thing he does and therefore the owners of this business are absolutely showing poor judgement and I am sure they will show similar poor judgement when taking care of your vehicle. You should never patronize this business, they believe lies in a gullible fashion and cannot think for themselves.

Saab repairsSaab owners (ok any make really)!This is great shop to care for your car- there are few mechanics who understand, have patience with Saabs. They have stock or access to stock parts. I can’t speak highly enough about Automotion. I purchased a used Volvo from Carvana and had some issues pop up such as blower motor replacement and now the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. Bo & Paul helped me out immensely and worked with the 3rd party warranty company to make sure everything that went onto my car was the proper parts with no shortcuts. I will not be bringing my car anywhere else for any type of service for as long as I drive a Volvo and neither should you.Services: Auto exhaust system repair

I brought my Audi in to Automotion Billerica on Thursday because the check engine light was on. Bo and Paul were amazing! Bo rode in the car with me and had me show him everything that I was concerned about, which in a 10 year old car is a lot. He checked it out, communicated everything he found, fixed some really hard stuff and had my car ready on Friday! I've never had a mechanic shop take care of me and my car so well and so promptly. I was blown away! My old car and engine, which had sounded like it was ready to die is now in great condition and drives so smoothly. I really love my 2008 SAAB 9-5 combi wagon. At nearly 14 years old it is still solid and comfortable and it can cruise effortlessly at 80 mph all day long. I don't want a new car, they are all so dependent on complicated electronics that are doomed to fail, and few offer the style or everyday practicality that my SAAB wagon offers in spades. I just really want to keep this one going for as long as possible. My search for competent and fair mechanics ended at Automotion in Billerica and I thank my lucky stars. The company is owned and operated by Boe and Paul Kalinowski. This father and son team are unbelievably knowledgeable about cars (including Audi's) and they are amazing with my well loved SAAB. These two men are the REAL DEAL -- die hard car enthusiasts who fix both domestic and exotic cars, custom build and restore cars, and even race cars! They take great care of their fortunate clients and they work fair, fast, and with expertise, plus it's fun to see the cars they're working on for themselves. They work on many more makes of car than Saabs, so if you're looking for highly competent auto mechanics, you will be happy you gave them a try!Services: Auto maintenance

My son's first car was a SAAB, which we quickly found out wasn't cheap to repair - nor was it easy to find a SAAB mechanic. Fortunately, Automotion was down the street.They always treated us fairly and never tried to upsell the repairs. Once they even took money off the bill when it was more than my son anticipated! And they have driven me home when I was dropping off a car.Foreign car repairs are never cheap, but Automotion is honest and helpful about all charges.Service: General repairs & maintenance
