It's my first time ever using this place. I see a lot of negativity on this site. A little surprised I end up calling because my wife couldn't make up her mind and what type of mulch color to use I spoke to a girl name.CELESTE . Just wanted to say to the owners she was amazing going out of a way to send me different colors so I could send it to my wife I personally wanna thank her for really making this really easy for us. We end up ordering 3 yards on Monday again I want to thank her for making this such an easy transaction.

They talk a good talk during the sales, but experienced delay after delay after delay when performing the work. Also found they don't stand by the products they install.

Amazing place. Very helpful and super nice people. Went to get something for bottom end rot on my tomatoes and the owner was very helpful with his tips and suggesting the right things to do. Was also kind enough to give me a new pepper plant for free when he heard mine wasn’t doing that well.

Kelly was super helpful and shared her vast knowledge of planting and helped me design a beautiful boat flower planter for my yard!! Couldn't have done it without her!! 5 gold stars!

I called during business hours to ask a simple question. Nobody picked up DURING business hours. I left a message with my number and the question. Nobody ever called me back. No customer service at all is a clearly bad level

Came here with my MIL to order some soil for her garden. We were one of the first customers, the older woman working the counter didn’t really have a clue on what she was doing. She said “the guys know more. I’m just here.”
After giving my MIL a pen and paper to figure out how much topsoil and compost she would need. The sales woman started to take another guest, which was completely fine. We were ready to put in the soil order and pay, when the guest she was taking care it asked about looking for a shady plant for his garden. We waited 15 minutes for her to find his plant.
So our turn is up and she takes the order. Swipes the card and asks when we would like the soil. She says “do u want it mixed or separate piles? They will be separate trips” she also proceeds to ask “did u want it today or tomorrow? We can try to squeeze you in”
Her customer service skills were awful! So she tells us our order is in and we go home. 2 days later, no soil. We call and they tell us they never got our order. The woman apparently gave us the order sheet as well. We leave the sheet in the mailbox and they deliver it the next day.
Well when they delivered it, they delivered it all in one pile. After digging into it and putting it in some of the raised beds, we figure out all of the compost was under the topsoil. Not mixed and not in separate piles. And a ton of big rocks of Loam unmixed, extremely sandy.
So fast forward to a few weeks later, we had to buy bagged compost anyway, and a few other items because their soil was so compact and hard. Now most of our plants are dying due to this soil. Yes it’s the soil because I used miracle grow for my container plants and they are thriving.
Please shop around before choosing Salt Box Nursery as your next choice of soil, or anything else for that matter. I already spread the word to my family and friends and will be on social media as well. This is unacceptable!
