You need to approach this place with the right frame of mind. Is the service good? God No, couldn’t be worse. Is the selection good? Also no, and their slurpee machine really doesn’t work because staff don’t give a shit. Are the prices reasonable? Never will you see price gouging like here. Will you encounter a wide variety of characters when you go here after 9p any day of the week? Likely. Absolutely god awful, but kind of hilarious if you think about it.

I think this location is a bit racist, they do not interact with you unless your are black or of Islam. My sister and her husband are Muslim I am not I am just a regular dude from California. They did not acknowledge my existence but they four people infront of me got hand shakes and salama from the staff… they talked to and looked at me with such bad vibes and wanted nothing to do with me… I feel horrible for even going here and like don’t know what I should fix to be accepted at my local corner store… unfortunately it’s the only place next to me open when I get off work and that feeling has me on Zillow looking for a more welcoming area who doesn’t care who is what race or religion. I’ve noticed things like this becoming more frequent around here and I think politics is really separating people like crazy in Boston . 😞.
EDIT/UPDATE: just found out through my real estate buddy who works with the property management of this location, it’s privately owned so our comments and feedback means nothing, this is a specific guy keeping up only a personal social group that care nothing for this area. Maybe explains why they’re so friendly to the army of homeless I see mentioned in the comments and have experienced myself.
I think we should consider petitioning to have this location removed and replaced with something non corporates like the rest of our wonderful JP. As we all know Jp is known for being one of the few unincorporated neighborhoods left and sticking with that will remove these types of inconveniences!

Prepared hot food should have a time limit on how long it sits if it's going to be sold.There's nothing worse than getting a chicken sandwich where the bread is so hard that you have to consider eating it under water just to have some moisture.

I walk to the stores this Morning 12/21/2023 I give a Short gentlemen with glasses $35.00 of scratch card and he give me $30 dollars with attitude and I ask him to give me my scratch card back, I think he tiff me $5:00, I just not professional one of your employer stilling from customer, thank God am a good Person and I left without tell him.

I’m going to have to give this place 1 star, I’ve been coming to this place for over ten years and anytime I come in during the evening or overnight hours, the staff behind the counter are rude. This evening I waited in line for 3 minutes while one person behind the counter was ringing up another customer and the other person at the counter just stood there doing nothing and made no eye contact with me (two registers available.) I waited patiently and he finally made eye contact with me and I asked him “are you open” and he said yes. I normally wouldn’t write a review but I always get this kind of treatment from the staff here and I’m sick of it. This kind of behavior from the staff here has gotten worse over the years and I’ll just say I’m Asian-American and the evening/night crew here seem to have a bias against people who look like me. I always say thank you and have never give the staff here a hard time. But enough is enough. I’ve observed how the staff treat others and they never do what they do to me all the time. After posting this review I’ll take my shopping elsewhere.
