I just had an awful experience with them. Given the latest review and some other mentions of a grouchy owner I feel like I should comment about this trend.
For household projects I believe in supporting local hardware businesses whenever I can.
I was in the middle of a project running a water line to an ice maker in my kitchen with water turned off, fridge and stove out, etc. The line that came with the fridge was only 12 feet and not long enough. I called at 15 minutes till closing and confirmed they had a large enough line. I confirmed when they closed and asked them to hold the item for my brother, who would be there right at 6 pm or before. The guy, presumably the owner, said he would. I would have been disappointed but fine at this point if he said he was closing the register soon and would not hold the item until the usual closing time.
My brother lives in JP and rushed to arrive right at 5:59, knocking as it was turning 6 on the dot. The guy looked at him and said they're closed with a smile, laughing at my brother. Why confirm the closing time and say you'll be ready with the item just to behave that way, right to someone's face? I do feel sorry for whatever that person has experienced that would cause that sort of behavior but I feel it's best that others know about this.
I regret that this is why Amazon wins for the convenience factor. The part will be here before any local businesses open in the morning. I did try to support a local business.

Spanish guy in front of me, not moving out my way when I was passing through an aisle he said YOUR GNA HAVE TO GO AROUND

IF I COULD GIVE A -10 AS A REVIEW I WOULD DON'T FORGET THERE'S ANOTHER HARDWARE STORE RIGHT NEXT TO YOU...I bought my other things there...

Fantastic experience! Went in to copy a key, cost was around $2, very fair. BLAZING FAST SERVICE! Went in and out within 1 minute with a new key. Street parking out front.
