The menu said “honey mustard” however, the mustard on the “farm house” sandwich was quite spicy and ruined the sandwich. Was very disappointed. Staff could not have been nicer though.

So, for a limited menu why is there a cutoff for breakfast? Avocado toast, not after 11 am!!! I asked if they had run out, "No but that's only for breakfast" I was told. Makes zero sense. You don't want my money? We actually made a special trip just for that. Needless to say my Wife was more than disappointed so we left. And I would have gotten a LUNCH sandwich for me but not when she's pissed and told me LETS GO. Bummer.

I went here for lunch today because it was raining and it was the only place that I saw close by to get food. I got a Turkey sandwich. Take a look at the cheese slice that was on one side of my sandwich. Miniature! I took 2 bites, didn't taste any cheese, so I went looking for it. The pics don't really show how small it was. Put together, the sandwich looks ok. Pull it apart and It's a Lettuce Sandwich with a little turkey and a quarter piece of cheese. The sandwich was $14.98! No bag of chips, no pickle, JUST the Lettuce Sandwich. I was in a bind today. This isn't a place that I would frequent if I lived in the Neighborhood. 3 Stars for prompt service and friendly Staff. The sandwich tasted very blah.

Disappointing Experience at the American Provisions.
My visit to the American Provisions left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, I encountered an atmosphere that didn't meet expectations.
The ambiance of the market was quite unpleasant. The music was at an excessively high volume, with reggaeton beats that didn't align with the setting of a market. This factor made it difficult to communicate with the customer service staff, as we couldn't even hear each other.
The customer service was lamentable. When I ordered a coffee, the vendor didn't even bother to ask if I wanted milk or cream. Furthermore, the person attending seemed completely uninterested in providing good service. Their attitude was indifferent and unprofessional.
The presence of employees smoking at the entrance instead of attending to customers was another sign of neglect in service. Not only was it disrespectful to customers, but it also contributed to worsening the market image.
In summary, my experience at the American Provisions was extremely disappointing. The ambiance, customer service, and attitude of the employees left much to be desired. I hope they take steps to improve their service, as currently, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone.

We go to AP all the time... the Dot location is cozy and the employees are off-the-charts nice. Quality of gourmet groceries, deli meats/cheese, and wine/beer/liquor selection are all phenomenal. I bought several people xmas gifts this year that were just little baskets full of things entirely from AP. Owner Matt went above and beyond when there was a mixup with something we ordered, dropping off a gift to our home. This is the sort of stuff that neighborhood patrons don't forget!

I dont think i've ever had italian sandwich this good! Not usually a fan of sandwiches but this one blew me away. Ordered via uber eats and it came out fresh and each vegetable was crispy. Highlight was the spice in the sandwich!! So delicious

Best sandwich shop in Southie --> highly recommend the Farm House or the Italian. Both are excellent bites that you cannot go wrong with! The staff are friendly and even do free wine tastings on Thursdays! **Note: no indoor seating**

just finished our Christmas meal which we ordered from American Provisions in South Boston. it was absolutely delicious, serving sizes were very accurate and heating instructions were so easy. I will definitely it order from here again, and I highly recommend It to others!!

Great neighborhood spot. Terrific natural wine selection and beer. Try our Grays next door as well.
