Terrible customer service. Another hype brand who can't handle the amount of business they generate and give out subpar solutions when they make mistakes. Do yourself a favor and shop at any other store.I ordered a jersey online and they sent me basketball shorts? Obviously this is frustrating, but 99% of companies I've shopped with would instantly ship out the correct product. That's totally their fault. After asking for the correct item I ordered, they gave me the most unsatisfactory response. They told me I could keep the item and get refunded 15% or get a free "shipping label" and get a full refund. So I still have to spend time and money on a box to send this back to them after they messed up? Time is money and y'all are wasting both for me. Take accountability. They also said they couldn't just send me the original item I paid for because they needed a "paper trail." How about the original order I placed as your paper trail? It's not unreasonable to want the thing I paid hard earned money for without jumping through hoops to get it because the company I ordered from is incompetent. It's on you to make it right, not me to work harder for something I paid you to do.

Highly recommend all the potential customers to avoid the services of bodega !Here is the story of my recent nightmare customer experience with bodega:3 weeks ago I ordered a pair of sneakers and the socks on top of it. And my life has never been the same.- Bodega have unilateraly deleted a pair of sneakers from my order that was already confirmed- They made a refund for the sneakers without giving any proper information or explanation to the client aka me- I had to reach out to them and send them emails to get proper information about my order. Btw it turned out to be their mistake in inventory and fulfillment department- I asked them to cancel the whole order to not have the socks fly to me all across atlantic. However they didnt cancel and sent me the 12$ socks with the delivery price of $52- I also had to pay an import tax of 25% for both - the socks and the delivery.- All in all I had to pay $83 for a parcel that shouldn’t have been sent in the first placeAnother shoutout to the so called customer support department- At first they continuously proposed me a promocode instead of a refund although I made it clear that I am 100% in no need of their future services- They were super unflexible and unresponsive to my customer interests (unable to give any options to resolve our conflict) ghosting me for days and not answering my questions- They came up with an idea that they “are unable to offer me more than 30$” for all the mistakes that they made along the way (I have no clue why they decided that this is a fair refund for the level of my suffering)- I have been in a less then pleasant correspondance with them for a month and as a result they returned me only 36% of my expenses which was a complete dead end

I would take the recent reviews here and on TrustPilot into account before ordering from Bodega's website. Over the last few years my orders have seen longer and longer fulfillment times (up to a month) and I've had three orders cancelled due to inaccurate inventory on their site. Some of these were items I could have ordered elsewhere, but missed my opportunity by choosing Bodega instead. I'd like to continue supporting them as a local option that carries a lot of brands that I love, but I think I'll have to step away for a bit until they can right the ship.

Such a rad experience! I haven't ever been to a "secret" store before. But now that I have been to Bodega I want to find more. My kids and I all got some cool merchandise here. I actually got a super unique wedding ring that I always get compliments on. My daughters got some shoes they could only find on GOAT. Stop here if your in Boston, you'll be glad you did.

Great fashion items--lots of designer apparel. Employees were helpful and knowledgeable. Some items were not for sale, which was not made clear, and the selection was limited as such. However, quality of the items in stock was apparent. Expect a designer price range. Their original products were just as high quality as some more well known brands' ones.

I personally placed 2 orders, one on 8/2 and another on 8/3 due to the semi-annual sale. According to their site, fulfillment should take 1-3 days and shipping should take 3-5 days. For the first order that I placed on 8/2, I didn't receive any updates whatsoever until the package was out for delivery. On the day it was marked as OFD, Bodega finally updated my order to send me the tracking number... again, on the same day. Shoes were fine, but I'm still waiting on my order from 8/3. I reached out to the customer service email 8/11 asking for an update. I received a reply on 8/14 that stated the following response: "As a general guideline, domestic orders take between 1-10 business days for fulfillment and 1-5 business days for shipping. International orders take between 1-10 business days for fulfillment and 3-7 business days for shipping. Please note that during high-volume sales or promotions, fulfillment and shipping times may be longer than usual and delivery times may vary based on location. Please keep in mind that we do not offer expedited shipping and we cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by third-party factors beyond our control." This is listed nowhere on their site, and I challenged this asking why the information wasn't reflected on the FAQs section, which is the information I'm going off of since it's official documentation. The representative, who never mentions their name, and I cannot make this up, sends me two Instagram links that are promotional posts for the sale they have running... it's not clear why these were sent, but neither of the post captions or media stated this revised info on shipping times and delays. I informed the rep that I was fully aware of the active sale, which is why I made the purchases. I have yet to receive any more replies to my attempts at contacting via email, Twitter, and they have turned off their IG comments because folks would probably complain about this all day. To make matters worse, a similar issue that I experienced with my shoe order from 8/2 also happened with a family member's order. They placed an order on either 8/3 or 8/4 and never received any shipment notifications, tracking numbers, nothing. We just went to the post office and had a final pick up notice marker in our PO Box, which the clerk told us the package had arrived a few days ago. No notifications whatsoever. This is by far the most annoying and jankiest shopping experience I've come across. I just want the boots I ordered and you never have to worry about me placing another order. EDIT: Adding another photo of the previous communication I had with them. This is insane.

Bodega has the worst customer service. I bought shoes for my daughter that were too small. i wanted to exchange or return them. i dont live in boston. got the runaround for months and finally gave up. you have to return store-bought items in person. how does that make sense for those that don't live in boston? the store is a scam and service is a joke. enjoy the read:ME: i bought shoes in your store for my daughter and they are too small. how can i exchange them?THEM: Hey Jason, did you purchase the item in stock or Online?ME: in storeTHEM: Got it, all In-Store purchases can only be handled In-Store; same for Online Orders they can only be handled Online. Best way would be to stop by the shop and have the team look into this for you .ME: i dont live in bostonTHEM: Understood, all In-Store purchases can only be handled In-Store unfortunately ME: That makes no sense. i should fly to boston to return $60 shoes? Are you serious? This is your response? I ask if I should fly to boston and this is your response? Please connect me with your supervisor.THEM: Hi Jason, so we are clear. All instore orders are to be dealt with instore only. Our online business is not connected to what happens in store purchase wise. Let me know if you have any further questions.ME: Please put me in touch with a supervisor at the store location.THEM: Jason, you would have to contact
[email protected]: This is my 3rd try. will anyone be responding?THEM: Good morning Jason, I am away at the moment and have been for a week now. I will get back to you when I'm back in office tomorrow. Apologies on the delay here. Be in contact soon. -HevenME: Following up.THEM: My name is Heven I'm the store manager at bodega. Would you mind sending me a copy of your receipt so that I'm able to look up your purchase?I'll do everything I can to get this resolved for you today! Apologies for the struggle but I do have to mention that is our policy so the customer service rep isn't giving any misinformation. But again, I'm going to do what I can for you. Hevenback and forth and months laterTHEM: Alright so after talking it over with our HR/Accounting department there are a few things I need from you/need you to know.1. I still need an actual photo of your receipt as it is our policy for any and all returns and exchanges vs a screenshot of your statement.2. If it is over the 2-week grace period, we do not allow returns which is also our policy.3. Exchanges are possible if we have the item in our inventory, that is why it is important to get your exchanges taken care of in the grace period. Our inventory changes every month. I did check to see if we have that shoe at our Boston store and it has been transferred out of our inventory to online because it is now on saleLet me know if you have any questionsHevenavoid buying anything here at all costs.

What a terrible company! I ordered an item, and have been waiting quite some time. Then, I receive an email stating that they oversold the item and it is no longer available. Are you kidding me? There wasn't even an apology in the email. What a badly run and cocky company!

Do not buy, especially online. They will sell sold out items. Tell you that there is a 30day delay on shipping fulfillment and than tell you at the end that your order was cancelled do to "over selling" I purchased items I saw go "out of stock" the next day and my order was cancelled three weeks later. They never had it. They take your money, that's it. Extremely Unprofessional.Edit** After reading the last three months of reviews I am not surprised. They do not take this feedback seriously and just want $$$

So like a lot of these reviews, do not buy online. Customer service is slow, they lie and will do anything to keep your money as long as they can before you notice. They're Instagram also has comments turned off... I wonder why. Too many public complaints? How do you over sell in 2023. When Sears was still in business they never had an inventory issue, they did it with mac computers from 89'. Hell I don't think any modern retailer has as many "inventory issues" as bodega.

BEWARE! When you make an online order don't expect your order to arrive anytime soon. Their site is misleading in the sense that you have no idea how long it will take until you check out and they send an email saying up to 21 days for it to process. In my case I waited more than 21 days until I grew quite worried after reading so many bad reviews about people having to wait at least a month, not getting correct items, or even having fake delivery notifications (Bodega would say it was delivered but it's no where to be found) so Bodega can then shift the blame on the carrier and you have to go deal with it. I emailed their support after waiting the 21 plus days with no order update and I got a generic response saying the order was still in the fulfillment stage and it could be more than 21 days now. It's illegal to have a customer wait for an unspecified time without consent or a refund. So I decided the best plan of action would be to contact my bank. After about 30 days and no shipment, Bodega refunded my money with the excuse saying the item was over sold. Unfortunately I don't believe their excuses at all. Why not be more transparent Bodega? Unless you are trying to hide bad behavior? You are here to serve the customer. All we want is reassurance and trust and ultimately our order or a refund. It doesn't matter if it's final sale, if you don't deliver you can't take someone's money.***With Billy's response below, it just goes to show how out of touch Bodega operates. He clearly didn't read what I wrote. My issue was resolved clearly. I'm just leaving a review so people are warned about Bodega's horrible business practices. ***

Horrible online customer service. I bought a birthday gift for a friend which did not even ship out 2 weeks after placing the order. I emailed them to cancel since it wouldn’t arrive on time. They gave a rude response as if I was at fault for not reading their FAQ about sale items (the FAQ made no mention of cancellations about sale items, and based on a few of the reviews below this store has no problem with randomly cancelling items even after an order is placed). Honestly, if they had just apologized and gave me an estimated shipment date I would have been fine even if they didn’t allow cancellations. But the customer service was abysmal, responses were obviously super low effort or copy-pasted, and still no update on when my order will even be SHIPPED, let alone delivered.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering online. The first order confirmation said up to 21 days for processing, but then when I contacted customer service, I got a generic response of “we’re extreme busy, orders taking 21 days or more to process” and they could not give me any other updates. It’s been almost a month now and still no update on delivery. ?***Wow! After your response yesterday stating that my order would be shipped by the end of the week, now I get an email saying my order has been cancelled???!!! What kind of business are you running here!? This seems a bit retaliatory? I just wanted the products I ordered, never asked the order be cancelled! Horrible business! I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s office!***

Worst. Service. Ever. BUYER BEWARE. Stop holding my money hostage!Wasnt told prior to purchase that shoes would take 3 weeks to ship out. Was told that since the purchase I made was "in high demand" I cant have my order cancelled. All sizes are in stock still for both shoes. What demand? Customer service email is absolutely useless. You get the BS canned answer that they cant do anything. The truth is that they can and they dont want to.Disputing this with my card company. Most of the recent reviews on this place are negative, I wish I knew that before. Cue the owner somehow blaming this atrocious customer service and bad business practice on me below. Do the right thing and process my refund and I'll change my review.UPDATE: After disputing the transaction with my card company I was able to finally get a cancellation notice and refund. I would advise anybody in the same situation do the same thing. They make it difficult on purpose.Bodega could be the last shoe store on Earth and I'd go barefoot. Never again.
