Asked for a long bob, got a just below the chin bob that made me look like a mushroom and the woman that cut it kept making it shorter because her cuts were uneven. Throughout the haircut I was telling her where she kept missing spots on the underside. It wasn’t the owner that cut my hair, but I won’t be going back as they could see my disappointment and offered no apology. Won’t be going back.

Regarding Carmen Diaz experience, and the answer from “Charles Kendall (Chaz)” I bet this one who answered is the owner, dude at least admit that someone from the salon messed up and did a bad job and maybe Carmen could even remove the review, but no you are retarded enough to talk like this with a girl who been going to your place guys for couple years already, this says a lot how serious you and your business is, i have nothing else to say other then you suck as much as your service, and have balls to answer from the business email, and yeah….

The lady who did my nail Jenny was so meticulous and took great care of my nails.
She put so many layers on my nails to make sure they’re reinforced.
The shop in general is definitely not a fancy place but they are friendly and professional and my nails look soooooo good.

I had gone to Chez Bella once before and liked the simple acrylics that I got. However, when I went back for a more complicated design, which I showed ahead of time and was told would be ok, they did a terrible job. The simple line-work was extremely messy and very rushed. When I asked to tweak some parts that were done completely wrong, the nail tech got extremely irritated and hostile and started yelling at me because it was taking too long and she had another appointment after me. Mind you, she said she could do the design beforehand and I showed up 30 minutes EARLY for MY OWN appointment. It was late at night and I could no longer deal with someone who didn't want to do their own job so I left. I came back a few days later to get the design changed and if they couldn't redo it they could just take it off because the nails were done so badly I couldn't keep them on. I again got yelled at by ANOTHER nail tech who, when I explained my situation, told me I was "harassing her" and that "I was one of those people who will never be happy." It was just so shocking and disrespectful, and I am not someone who likes to raise they're voice at random people so I just had to leave. But if you want anything more than a singular color, DO NOT GO HERE! They cannot take a note of criticism and do not understand it is their job to listen to the customer. Very angry and hostile group. I walked right to Allston nails and got the whole thing redone for less than they asked for a refill. Just go to Allston nails down the street.

Got a haircut here on August 1st. I will say, I was plenty satisfied with the haircut, and the people there were generally kind too. So why am I giving them 2 stars?Long story, but I'll (try) to make it short. I came to Boston from Pittsfield for a day trip, and got a haircut there. All was well and good, until I saw in my bank account that I was charged $135.20 instead of $35.20. I went with a friend and he also got a haircut, so I asked him if he was charged the same, but thankfully he didn't get overcharged. So, I thought this was just a genuine mistake.I called them on the 5th of August, asking about the situation. The owner picked up, and told me that they would refund the money when I show up to their store in person. I wasn't going to be in Boston until August 15th, so I told her to make sure she'll remember me by that time. She said no problem. I was a bit upset however since I didn't really get an apology, just a 'my bad' at the very end of the phone call, and she said things like 'I'm not refunding through the phone I don't have to do that'. A little rude, but I thought whatever, as long as I get my money back.As the days went by, I got more anxious since I was worried I would lose the $100, as it is a lot of money to me. Admittedly, I've been through some things especially with money, which made me lose trust to people in general, so I submitted a dispute to the bank in case they don't refund it.Then comes August 14th (day before I go back to Boston), seeing in my bank account that the dispute is still open. I called them again that day, telling them I will be coming in tomorrow for the refund. A worker picked up, and she said no problem. Half an hour later, they called me back, and this time it was the owner. She started talking very aggressively, saying that the bank already took out $100 from their account and put it into my account. I was skeptical, since the dispute is still open, and the bank doesn't just do that unless the merchant approves of the mistake. I tried to tell her my side, but she kept her aggression, saying things like 'I don't understand why you contacted the bank and still called us' etc. I only managed to tell her my side of the story until she stopped interrupting me, so I asked if they approved the dispute, and apparently she told me they did (??). Very weird. Just like that the story came somewhat to a close.That being said, I was very disappointed at how they handled the situation. It was their mistake, I was simply trying to get back my own money. Not only did they not formally apologize, but they yelled at me and almost seemed to blame me for all this. Frankly, if this didn't happen I would've given them 5 stars, but alas, that happened. I unfortunately won't be recommending this place to anyone.

Great salon. I have been going there since 1991 believe it or not I get the greatest haircuts there. There are other haircutting shops around, if you are into the assembly line bit. I get my nails trimmed and they give terrific pedicures. It's so comfortable and a very friendly atmosphere. Other guys should give it a try. The nail service and pedicures are terrific. You don't know what you are missing.
