I love the gym, the variety of workouts, and most of all - the coaches and community at BIG.
- Tue/Thur Bodysculpting with Tina
- Saturday Powerlifting with Miguel
- Big Engine Sundays with Coach Brian,
- and my main dude, Marc for MWF mix and match!
Keeps me healthy and going as a busy dad and entrepreneur. I mostly go to the noon classes for a mid day pick me up!! Big energy lives here.

I didn't play any sports growing up and gym class was my nightmare so I never thought CrossFit would be for me. But after almost three years at Boston Iron & Grit, I can honestly say I love it! Everyone is super nice. The coaches are the perfect combination of knowledgable, motivating, fun, and patient. There are no big egos. Just a wonderfully supportive community of people who want to push ourselves and each other to do our best and feel our best. If you're at all curious, you should check it out. It's a very special place.

I’m fairly new so I can only speak about the Body Sculpting class for women, but it’s been great learning and building strength alongside the other incredible women. The gym is always clean and organized and everyone is friendly and encouraging, which helps when you lack hand-and-eye-coordination ??♀️. I really appreciate the small group classes. Plus, Tina is a great coach! She’s encouraging, warm, and inspiring…Somehow, she always finds a way to make us all feel like empowered, badass women.

The Body Sculpting and Powerlifting class is a great alternative to a full CrossFit WOD. We start with a half hour of fitness movements with weights and then a half hour to work on a barbell Olympic movement increasing weight with each set of reps. Tina (owner/coach) thoroughly goes over each movement, watches our form, and encourages us to do as much as we can. It's truly a no-judgement gym with friendly, supportive people.

Giving a huge shout-out to Tina Ramos at CrossFit Boston Iron & Grit, who has changed my approach to working out. Tina's powerlifting and sculpting class builds muscles and creates community among women of all ages, abilities, and body types- it's incredibility empowering.

I needed something different to get back in shape. I scheduled a few 1-on-1 training sessions with Tina (owner), which were GREAT! Tina is super professional, friendly, helpful and encouraging, and the sessions with her prepared me well for group classes, while being a great workout by themselves!I only had the chance to join a couple group classes with Brian and they were great as well! Everyone is super nice and friendly, and Brian gave me extra attention being the newbie that I am, making sure I’m doing the exercises correctly, providing encouragement as well as alternative exercises when needed. The place is big andspacious and super clean! Looking forward to a successful journey at Boston CrossFit Iron&Grit!

I came for a couple drop in classes while visiting the area and I couldn’t recommend this gym more highly. Tina and Miguel are awesome trainers and despite just dropping by I feel like I learned something new. The gym is beautiful, big & sparkling clean. Looking forward to coming by again next time I’m in town!

I realized the importance of fitness later in my life, starting in earnest at age 45. I was introduced to CrossFit and have been committed to training regularly for the past 13 years. When I first discovered BIG in 2017 I knew right away this is a special place. The facility is spacious and well-equipped, but the secret sauce is Tina and her team of Coaches. They have created a real community around health and fitness, with a driven, positive vibe that drew me in and has sustained me since I joined. Coaches spend time getting to know each of us personally, adapting workouts as appropriate while celebrating our progress. I have been continually challenged and encouraged in pursuit of my goals, and am in the best shape of my life thanks to BIG. I’m proud to be a member of this community, and strongly recommend that anyone looking for a place to train come check it out.

Crossfit Boston Iron & Grit: Iron Row Class. This class has been awesome for me. As someone who has been doing Crossfit for the past 5 years, I can tell you that there are many things that I could work on and improve. One of my biggest weaknesses was that I was never a very strong rower. Well, the only way to improve is to push yourself and spend the time doing it, but the prospect of sitting on a rower for 45 to 60 minutes was not very appealing to me. So I started taking the Iron Row class to chip away at a known weakness and what a difference it has made. The programming is a great balance between rowing and basic Crossfit movements. The workouts are such that you get enough breaks to keep you motivated, but get the cardio push required to feel and see significant improvement. The workouts are challenging but scalable, endurance-driven (longer) but varied. It is a real calorie burner and is a really great blend of cardio and strength. I am a big fan of these workouts and I would recommend this class to anyone.

CrossFit Boston Iron & Grit is a gym where everyone is welcome - experienced, die-hard athlete, and newbie alike. The group workouts are setup so everyone can scale to a level that works for them. What really makes a difference is a culture where no matter what your conditioning level, everyone, not just the coaches, is encouraging and positive. Plus Tina, the owner, is super helpful, available and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a new place to workout with a community this is the place.
