Walking there because I was in the mood for a good old roti and upon walking and it was a crowd of people but they weren't there to purchase food they were standing around getting some soup and eating in the small area. Before placing my order there was a woman standing behind the area where they cook the food eating out of a cup she then went over to the hot food and put more in her cup that she was eating out of and use the serving spoon that we would be served with it ..yuck on a few levels. Definitely not following ServSafe guidelines

Great small Trinidadian cuisine located in hyde park,MA. The atmosphere is so inviting from the outside and the inside. It is a small place, with a homey touch to it. There's limited outside seating in the summer but as you can imagine, during the cold season, nobody really likes to sit outside lol. I was first introduced to this place last year by one of my Trini co-workers and got in contact with the owner to place a catering order for a work event. We ordered buss up shut, curry chicken, and chana and aloo. Everything came out so delicious and full of flavor. The team enjoyed the food and asked for another catering event and so I placed an order for the same dishes and the owner Allan, worked with our budget. Allan is very friendly and accommodating. Everything was done on time and when I arrived to pick up the order, Allan and his teams helped bring everything to my car. The chana and aloo and the buss up shot are vegan friendly :) I recommend this place! (10/10)

The minute I entered their restaurant, Dev/Dave (pardon me) and Asif were very friendly. I told them it was my first time at the restaurant and asked what each of the dishes were.Dave had such a warm demeanor and talked about all the dishes with passion. I asked him to tell me about the dishes but he gave me a bite of everything to try before buying.Doubles - 5*Dal - 5*Potato curry - 5*Polourie - 5*Callaloo - 4*Flaky roti - 4*Stew & curry chicken - 3.5*I bought doubles, potato curry, curry & stew chicken, Calalou, flaky roti & polourie.Doubles was amazing, so was the potato curry.Polourie is a fried dough ball topped with tamarind chutney, spicy sauce w/scorpion pepper(I think) and cucumber. That was great!I'll be back to try some of their goat & fish dishes.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options - doubles, chickpeas, red bean, potato & pumpkin masala, dal, roti, rice, macaroni pie.Parking: It's a small parking lot behind the restaurant

I was craving bake and shark. I waited to eat since they make them between 10am-6. I went around noon time with an empty stomach. I ordered 3 bake and shark, 2 doubles and cow feet soup. The bake and shark was horrible! I couldn’t eat past the two bites I took. The shark still had bones in the center..no pineapple which normally gives this dish that special something. The doubles left more to be desired. My dad enjoyed the cow feet soup. The service was great! They gave us a free order of polourie. The atmosphere was a bit disorganized and I stayed outside instead. Unfortunately, I wouldve loved to love this place as bake and shark is hard to come by in Boston, but its a never again for me.

As a former New Yorker living in RI I miss Trinidadian food, and this brought me right back. The friendly service, the chill vibe, and boy the food was like your friends granny asked you to stay for lunch. I never had a double before and I devoured two of them so fast while driving away... this place is a gem!Vegetarian options: They have doubles which are like little mini roti chickpea slices of heaven. I had a full lunch with beans, chickpea, veg, cabbage, pumpkin and rice and was stuffed. Everything was so flavorful.

Amazing hospitality, cute ambience and some of the best vegetarian food I have ever eaten in boston. Such a cool cuisine to try, the chickpea roti was amazing homemade and flaky. The salsas were rich in spice and flavor. A hidden gem, I'll be telling my friends about.

WOW best boston food experience I've had in a while!! The food was bomb, I got the curry goat with roti and everything was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The owners were there and you could tell how much love they put in this place, they had such a warm energy and were so kind and sweet! They treated us to some doubles on the house which were delicious!!!! Also they have a beautiful garden out front and were telling us about all the plants, will definitely come back!!!!!

Came here today. The food was not displayed in an appetizing way. They didn't have curry shrimp or aloo pie on a Saturday at 2 pm. Kind of unheard of for a trini roti shop. Prices were not displayed. Bought 3 doubles. Definitely the worst doubles I ever had, as it had no flavor. The channa was hard. $3 for one doubles was extremely pricey, especially considering the quality. I took a look at the chicken curry and it looked thin and watered down so I didn't bother to buy anything else.
