I had a balayage done with Shaida, and I couldn’t be happier! She’s very kind and made the whole experience so comfortable. She explained every step of the process and provided me with clear instructions on how to care for my hair, including which products to use and when. Everything was done professionally and right on time.
This was the best experience I’ve had, and I highly recommend this salon for any beauty services!

I moved to the North End two years ago and have never found someone who transformed my hair like Michelle. Everyone at the salon is so kind and genuine. Michelle introduced me to the butterfly cut and I can never go back. I cannot live without Michelle. Could not recommend this place enough!!!!

Del Ara Salon is the best salon for any color correction , highlights, cuts , eyebrow threading and many more services . I make sure to always book ahead of time , they are always super busy and that comes to show how great the work they do is. The salon is always clean and the staff is always very attentive . I would 100% recommend this salon to anyone looking for hair services.

Have been going to Shaida for years for brows and hair! She does a phenomenal job with both. More recently I’ve started seeing Sara, Shaida’s protege for brows and she is PHENOMENAL!! She pays amazing attention to detail and is consistent every time!! I would highly recommend Sara!

Del Ara Salon exceeded my expectations! Shaida's expertise in caramel balayage truly shines through in the masterpiece she created for me. The color is perfect, complementing my skin tone and hair type flawlessly. From start to finish, it was the best hair experience I've ever had. I also come here regularly for eyebrow threading and the shape is perfect every time. I will definitely be coming back here for all future hair related appointments! 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I have been seeing Michelle at Del Ara Salon for balayage and haircuts the last 4 years since I moved back to Boston and highly recommend her! I was so nervous when I moved to Boston that I wouldn't be able to find someone who could color my hair as well as I had it done in NYC, and am SO grateful after some research that I found Michelle! She is kind and welcoming and takes the time to listen to exactly how you want your hair done. She is meticulous and takes her time to give you the best quality color, and she makes the process enjoyable. Del Ara is always clean and has a welcoming and fun vibe. And as a bonus, it's a woman-owned and run business! Shaida, the owner, is incredible! :)

I have been coming to Del Ara for years, and they are the BEST! I used to live nearby and now come in from Somerville. The salon is beautiful, clean, and comfy. I like that I can do some work on my laptop during my appointments, and everyone is so nice.
When I first started coming, my eyebrows were way overgrown and had no shape - I rarely let people touch them, but Shaida totally fixed them for me and I'll never let anyone else do them!
Michelle has always done my hair and is hands down the best stylist I've ever had - she gives her input of what would look best and be easiest to maintain for me, but always lets me make the final choice (though at this point I trust her to just do whatever she thinks is best!). I went from my natural brunette to blonde with Michelle and every time it is perfect - the color looks great, it grows out well, and my hair is still healthy!
10/10 recommend Del Ara every time :)

Walked into salon to get a haircut and walked out. Salon looked very dirty and not well kept (guess what else would you expect from North End). All the girls were available on a Saturday afternoon I guess it tells you something...

I am posting on behalf of a friend, who had a traumatic experience at this salon. I'll start by saying this place came well recommended to her and reinforced with all the positive reviews online. Yet the experience she had was 10/10 would not recommend. What should have been a simple gloss that took no more than 45mins-one hour max has ended up as easily two years worth of damage that needs to be fixed and hundreds of dollars. The stylist was unable to get it together, left my friend in the chair (with permanent dye in her hair instead of a gloss) well over the allotted time because she was unable to get it together and left the washing responsibilities up to the receptionist, who did not know how to wash the dye out and ended up just spraying water all over my friend. She did not have any other clients at this time and spent over thirty minutes in the bathroom and when she came back, could barely keep her eyes open and started ranting about how the pandemic was a scam and kids don't want to work anymore. This appointment should have been an hour and a half max; she was there for two and a half hours, most of which was spent unattended to in a chair until the receptionist came to give her a shower. Now, instead of going back to her natural brown hair color, her hair is black and not even close to her natural shade of brown. Michelle paid no mind to the fact that she dyed her hair black instead of a medium shade of brown full well knowing black was NOT the endgame color. And now my friend will have to spend years in color correcting treatments to blend her hair color in with the black dye as her roots grow in. So thank you so much for not only ruining her hair, but also leaving her with the impression that she can't trust a professional (and that term is loosely being used here) to treat her hair. Oh, and she almost didn't cut half her hair and my friend had to question it before the blow dryer was used. Thanks a lot!

Shaida has been cutting me and my partners’ hair for the last 5 years and always knocks it out of the park. Prices are reasonable and service is exceptional

Super sweet ladies all around… they helped us out after my husband received a very bad haircut down the street and I was in a panic! I had even noticed them on our way over to the barber and thought their shop was so cute and welcoming! Very willing to help and make sure we were taken care of. Del Ara salon is just the best hair salon. The manager Shaida and all the staff specially Michelle are so amazing and skilled. They are definitely the best!!!! I have been going to there for more than 10 years and each time I am so happy and grateful for their service. They are so skilled and up to date. The prices are reasonable for Boston and the quality is top notch. I have never been disappointed about my cut or color. Everyone is friendly and seem to genuinely care about the customer being happy. Definely recommend. Every stylist is fantastic.
