AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. I would leave ZERO stars if that was an option.Yesterday (September 2023), my wife brought our beat-up, aging 2008 Toyota Prius in for an oil change. When I arrived to pick the car up, the counterperson said the price was $119.00. I protested and said that that was an outrageous price for an oil change, and the counterperson said that this was the standard price for a full synthetic oil change.I called the owner and asked him to explain. He said that my wife should have asked what type of oil we wanted to use. He acted as if it was ridiculous that we would want to use anything but top-of-the-line full synthetic oil -- in a car that itself is only worth roughly $3000.I said that it was totally irresponsible for him to not ask a customer what tier of oil to use in an oil change BEFORE performing the service, and I told him I did not think I should be responsible for the $119 (I said that $60 was a fair -- even high -- price for an oil change). He called me a "clown" and demanded that I pay the full price. I continued to disagree, and he finally yelled "Well, if you want to just take the car for free, fine!"So, I hung up, walked to the car, and drove away. My mobile rang a minute later, and it was Roy -- screaming expletives at me and threatening that he was going to call the police if I did not return to pay the $119. After even more time with him calling me names and telling me the entire thing was my fault, he finally and rudely agreed that I could pay $60. So I returned, did so, and drove away again. This service station is not run in an honest and decent way. Do not take your car here.

If you enjoy being taken Advantage of this place is for you. It went under new owner ship a couple years ago and I didn't know and I went to get my car inspected yesterday. The mechanic said that my car wouldn't pass because it needed front end work so I told him just give me a reject sticker and I'll take it to my mechanic. He then went on and on about how unsafe it was and how I couldn't drive out there and he needed to get new wheel bearings in a tire rod in there and so I said all right fine doesn't sound like a lot of work go ahead and call me when it's done. He then went to call me about three times saying well it needs this it needs that it needs this and so I was like OK. Then I went on the Yelp and saw all of the terrible reviews and knew I was getting scammed. First off if there was front end issues I would feel it in my car. Second of all the guy was really trying to scare me about driving away without all this work done so of course I believe them. But I was getting a weird feeling until I looked at all the reviews and saw that he does this to everybody and then he charges ridiculous prices like three times the price of what it should be. So this morning I knew I was going in for a fight, but I had no idea, he was charging me $3000 For two wheel bearings and one Tye rod, Stating it took eight hours to do the work. When I googled the price for parts and labor it came to two hours of labor and under $800 for parts so even if I'm rounding that up to 1000 his 3000 was ridiculous. I had to argue with him To get the bill down to $2000 so I can get my car back. Basically I got totally scammed. Do not go to this person no matter what. I found out later from my neighbors as We are all living close to this guy that he's known to be the biggest scam artist and con artist around. Do not go to Eastland motors unless you enjoy throwing your money away. The owner is a total safe and scum bag.

On Feb 2, 2022 I went to Eastland Motor Service in West Roxbury Mass, for an inspection of my car. The car was inspected by the owner, ***, who told me that my car needed brakes. He quoted me a price of $700.00 but told me it is normally $900.00 for this brake service. I believed him and left my car overnight to have the brake service done. At home, the next morning I called ****** Service, and talked to my regular mechanic, ***. *** said \

This was a shockingly expensive and overpriced place to go. Roy will give you a price estimate, and then the cost will be triple. He'll purposely exclude actual cost estimates and tack them on the bill at the end. He'll tell you he'll give you a "discount" and perform something like a brake repair for "just the cost of the parts" as a favor for doing business, but after careful review of my car and part costs even that is a lie, where he will still charge double. My estimated costs was 2k, and he charged me 3,800. He then told me he'd take off 200, but that's still 1,600 more than what the estimated price was, even when I buffered in labor costs, tax, etc.I'll never be going here again.

these Guys Not Only Double Charged A Friend Of Mine, But They Did His Engine Repair Poorly. And It Broke Because Of This. And They Refused To Repair The Engine That They Broke. Total And Absolute Crooks. And Incompetent Mechanics. He Had It Fixed Somewhere Else And They Agreed That The Damage Was Due To Bad Installation On The Timing Belt. The Gears Didn't Line Up. He's Going To Take Them To Small Claims Court. This Is The Wrong Place To Have Your Car Repaired.

Complete price gougers...do NOT go here. They had the audacity to charge me $90 for an oil change, with synthetic oil, and claimed it was standard price for the area. Bull. I just found my receipts from my last 3 oil changes, ALL with synthetic oil and a new filter, same car: $47.20, $45 & $52.74. (Those locations were in Norwood, Hyde Park & Needham.)Additionally, they charged $60 for wipers. WIPERS that I normally replace, myself, for under $15. I told them that I needed the least expensive wipers possible, merely due to the requirement for my inspection sticker. They were working FINE when I drive, but the mechanic here showed me they were "broken." Now, given their overcharging, I will assume they broke them to (blindly) charge me that whooping $60. ?They removed a mere $15, from the bill, when I called them out on their price gouging, but it's still LUDICROUS. They also should CLEARLY list their prices so customers can choose to walk away and go to a reasonably priced place. If they're that dishonest with pricing, on the most basic of maintenance, one can reasonably infer that they're dishonest with their work as well. They've been the only, local place where I've gotten gas, for twelve years. No longer will I be giving them a single cent of that money, either.Shame on them.Do note that this place is under new ownership, as of a few months ago. If you had good experiences, with Phil, this isn't his place anymore.New owners seem to be utter crooks.Update: Note their response, blaming the consumer. They just made themselves look worse and, evidently, they're unaware that responses to reviews are for, future customers to see how they treat people. Gaslighting isn't the way to go, Eastland. ?

Definitely a scam. Overcharges, and "repairs" things you didn't ask to be repaired.

I had done an oil change here and Roy charged me $2300. Because they called me that my brakes were broken(they couldn't work), but the fact was brakes are old but can work, otherwise, how did I drive every day. I didn't sign any agree documents, and they didn't tell me any number how much it is before they did. After this thing, I quoted for some auto repair stores, changing brakes is average around $800. I just offer the real numbers to let who is going to this store as reference.

Place is under new ownership. When asked for quote on services will try to avoid telling you amount until services are done and give you a ridiculous price or quote one price before starting work and charging double the price after. Total rip off. Avoid at all costs.
