I don’t usually get my nails done, but I got a gel manicure at another place a few weeks ago as a fun day with my sister. My nails grew out so I decided to treat myself to another gel manicure. I went to this salon because it is near my work. The nail tech removed the prior gel polish entirely with an electric file, no soaking at all. My sister later told me this is really bad for your nails. My nails look nice but a few are so thin and bendy now. Doing basic tasks hurts because the nails (not very long) bend terribly. I typically have very strong nails. I’m hoping they’re okay in several weeks when they grow out, but I definitely don’t recommend going here. I went here a few years ago for a regular mani pedi and thought the place was fine, but I’ll never go back now. I wish I had known to ask to soak the polish off or to just leave. I don’t know if the electric file is faster maybe? But place wasn’t busy so I really don’t understand why they would remove a gel manicure that way.

Laura has officially converted me to acrylics🎉! I had never tried them before, but she carefully explained every step, and helped me pick a shape that suited my hands👌. Watching her sculpt the powder so precisely was fascinating. My nails turned out very elegant and felt super lightweight. If you're unsure about trying acrylics, go to Laura✔. You'll be in expert hands!
