Been coming here for a few months now. Great gym for the price in the area. Lots of squat racks which I never have to wait for. Good spread of machines (people are usually not waiting) and not very crowded.

I've been a member of several gyms in the Boston area. This one is the best. I love that you get access to two gyms, about 15 minutes apart, with the elite membership. It helps keep things fresh. Both gyms are well stocked with equipment, have great environments and are clean. The staff is very nice, welcoming and helpful. You also can't beat the price of this place, especially in the Boston area. Strong recommendation for Adam in Brookline if you are looking for a personal trainer.

Gymit took two payments from my accountWhen they couldn’t take a third payment they waited till I came in to work outWhich was about two weeks after payment was due to inform me their billing had an issue and I would have to process my card againBecause of this I asked the manager if I could make a one time payment with a credit cardHe refused to do it because his boss would be really mad at him if he did thatI emailed gymit and explain the situationThey responded that I could have made a 1 time paymentWhich the manager refused to do because he was to busy having fun and doing nothingNow I have an overdraft fee on my account because the manager at Brookline Gymit refused to take a one time credit card payment because his bosses would be very mad at himThe manager lied to me about the process

I am reevaluating my latest yelp review after speaking with GymIt marketing director Tania Green . She was very apologetic and assured me that, in the future, her staff would be more empathetic concerning gym members issues. So with that I give Gymit 5+ stars!

You get a pretty good deal here. I've never had to wait for a squat rack, validated parking is only $1, & management responds to feedback. For the price, what more could you ask for?

Cancelling this gym is an absolute nightmare. I moved away and a month before hand went in person to cancel. The from desk assistant helped me send an email to their support to cancel my membership. I moved away and a months later was still getting charged. I called and complained to the assistant at the gym they apologized and said it would be fixed and here I am months later still getting charged. They won't reimburse me and won't remove my card from the file. Do not join this gym if you do not plan to stay. Horrible.

The environment is good. Many devices, huge space. But be careful of your bank account. I got extra charge by them due to the information I got is difference from the contract you signed. Please check the language before you put any signature.

Awful management. It was a painful process to cancel my membership (and called me a lair in front of my face). Finally cancelled my membership at Dec 2021, but I was still getting charged by this gym for random 1 dollar charges until Dec 2022. Asked their staff, they confirmed that those 1 dollar charges do appear in their system but the reason of those charges are not shown. So what is it? Is gymit actually stealing money from me? I'm afraid that if I freeze my card and refuse to pay, they'll send me to collection!P.S. This was my favorite gym. I used to go to this gym everyday during my undergrad @BU, I did not cancel my membership during my almost 2 years of the remote classes during covid because I wanted to support gymit. But after I graduated, I had to cancel my membership, and that when this nightmare began. I am really really disappointed by this gym.Response to the owner:First, I do not say that gymit refused to cancel my membership, it's simply painful.Second, Not all of my emails are replied. I have two emails to the support team that are never replied.Third, The support team finally canceled my membership on 6/14/2022 (via email), but I was still getting random 1, 2 dollars charges until Dec 2022 and there's no explanation for those charges.Fourth, I did update my billing information on Dec 2021 in person as I didn't want to share my card information online.

I've been a member for over two years now and I'm not leaving anytime soon. For me, the location is unbeatable. I like that Gymit is inexpensive and a no frills experience (I just want to lift and that's it!) I come in, work out, and leave. I do see other people socializing, sometimes with staff, so there are some good community vibes around. The equipment variety has increased recently and I can see the owner is trying to add more options for members, which is great. More dumbbells, more benches in the dumbbell area, a new hack squat machine, booty builders (lol @ following Instagram trends). Anytime I've needed anything, I've felt heard and taken seriously. Once there was a cable machine missing a carabiner so it was rendered useless. I was stuck waiting because it was rush hour and all other cables were taken. I brought it to the attention of the staff and they confirmed my observation, went to order more carabiners, and then followed up with me to know it would be remedied. Also, I emailed one time about the pull-up bars to request flat, smooth pull-up bars be installed. The response I got had some fair reasons for why that wasn't possible, but included an offer to cover some of the etched bars with tape. Sure enough a week later there was tape on some of the bars which is much better for me than the rough etching. I do still wish they would add straight, smooth pull-up bars somewhere...all the ones they have are etched and/or angled which limits what you can do. But, with such a convenient location and price I'll accept the compromise. If you live nearby, this gym is pretty hard to beat. Do come in and take a tour if you haven't been and are considering. A lot of the pictures on yelp are of the Watertown gym which I haven't personally been to, but I understand is much bigger.

Good gym, got a lot of racks, free weights and alll the machines. The staff can be a bit rude sometimes and I dont like that you cant do a trial workout or bring friends.

Thought it was good until they were arrogant and rude to me because I had a bad hair day and didn't want my picture taken that day. Apparently they make notes about these things and hold it against you if you ever tried to bring up their employees being rude. It's like being in a courtroom, they have no problem calling their customers liars regardless of the bad treatment. Therefore after telling their over testosterone manager Kyle he was rude, the operations manager Steve, was even further rude calling me a liar and then canceling my membership keeping all of the yearly fees / membership cost I paid. Therefore if you want to be treated like garbage, exploited, lied to, and then canceled because you spoke your mind go here. If you don't go to planet fitness they'll treat you much better and for more inexpensive costs. Whatever happened to good customer service, ever since covid everybody thinks they can treat people however they want. This needs to stop have some class Jimmy lose the steroids, and stop treating your customers like garbage it will cost you one day your business.

I love working out here! It's clean and they have all of the equipment I need. I love that they have so many power racks. The staff are friendly and always remember me.
