I went to another MINI dealership prior to working with David at Herb Chambers of Boston and I was not pleased at all with the service. I made one phone call to Herb Chambers, and boy am I happy I did. I worked with Liz and David and they were both so helpful, friendly, and timely in getting back to me. If you are in the market for a MINI, I highly recommend working with the staff here.

One knows well how buying or leasing a car from a dealership can turn out to be one long series of botherments and vicissitudes. My recent experience with Abdou Merheb was quite to the contrary. To be sure, I had purchased a BMW from him four years back and found the transaction from its inception to its closure to be as smooth a ride has one might hope for. Abdou was cordial and ever attentive, eager to help me find what I wanted and not to press or push. It made sense that I sought him out this fall while looking for a Mini Cooper. Once again, everything proceeded with ease and dispatch; Abdou was his inimitably pleasant, patient, and helpful self. The only hitch in the transaction was caused by my insurance company that bungled the details of my account number and slowed down arrangements at the last minute. Abdou came to the rescue and drew attention to the problem and made certain that the car was ready when we had hoped and planned to pick it up.If you are looking for a congenial, agreeable, and unstintingly reliable person from whom to buy a car, Abdou Merheb is your man.

I leased a MINI here in 2018 and am now financing it. I have annual checkups with my vehicle here and am always treated extremely kindly and feel that everything is explained to me in great detail when something needs maintenance. There have even been several times when I was given a full diagnostic health check and was recommended to go to other places to get the problems taken care of, as it would cost significantly more at their garage, so they have even saved my money! The guys in the garage are super sweet and they even offer a free Lyft if you need transportation in some cases. Not only do I LOVE my vehicle but I am so glad I went here to buy it. During the buying process I was not pressured to buy extra features or upgrade in any way (except the winter tires were heavily recommended, and being in New England I agreed.) If you want a MINI, go here!!!

Took my 200$ when my cat kept dying and would not start and told me my oil pans and valve cover was leaking when neither is both have brand new gaskets and the valve cover has a new cover and I just had a battery draw. The real problem was that I needed a new oil cap, oil filter cap , starter and alternator which was brand new. That wasn't the only problem my turbos are leaking oil ,so they greatly missed diagnose my car after I told the service writer they were new his response was who ever did it didn't do it right instead of making the tec recheck their work. the manager or supervisor never answers the phone nor is in the build or return phone calls. They don't even deserve a half star JUST DONT GO!

Theo Turney is the most helpful person, I came here to get a oil change and he recommended I get the MINI Maintenance Oil Services plan which includes unlimited oil and oil filter changes for three years for $225.00. I would recommend to anyone to come get your service done here, they even send you a video clip of the work being done. All the workers here are great!

The worst experience I’ve ever had with a dealer garage. My car was here for over 5 months and I was told multiple times “it’ll be ready Tuesday” &” there’s a part in Germany” to the point of nauseam, until after paying the loan & insurance on a car for 7 months was I told (two days after it would absolutely be fixed) “oh actually the engines broken”. It’s entirely understandable to not be able to fix a car, but to not know for nearly half a year is absolutely unacceptable. Not only I never return to this location I’ll never touch a MINI/BMW again. Horribly unreliable service (from the cars themselves & the technicians)

We don't really leave reviews but I got to say that Theo (from Herb Chambers Mini) is absolutely phenomenal! Always helpful! and always going above and beyond what is needed! We have had multiple maintenance and repairs, and Theo is always there to help and guide us. Very transparent, patient, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented. Thank you, Theo, for the great experience.

My most recent experience with the Herb Chambers’sMini-Cooper service department on Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton was as successful as my previous experiences. I arrived in a sputtering 2014 Countryman and was attended to right away. Mark Ravin processed the car and told me 30 minutes later what the matter was and that 2-3 hours would be needed for repairs. I took advantage of the comfortable lounge and the proximity to Clear Flour Bakery to pass the time. I purchased this car used in 2015, and it has served me very well ever since. We always go to Herb Chambers and its representative Mark Ravin when our car needs service.

The service was good excellent! Mark and his co-workers were very attentive and it’s clear they have high expertise. I felt I could really trust assessment of my vehicle. I’m definitely going back for service.

What a great experience! Everyone was so helpful. I was expecting to leave my car for the whole day but the repair was done in less than an hour and a half and they even loaned me a nice car so I could get my grocery shopping done while I waited. And the icing on the cake - the bill was $200 less than I expected.Well done!

Mark Ravin is the BOMB! He heads up the service department. No matter how busy it is, he always provides the best customer service; he listens, communicates clearly, he's efficient, deftly multi-tasking, always positive and always with a smile. Fantastic ambassador for Herb Chambers. Sorry, to hear his sidekick Matt Appleton, another gem, is not longer with the organization. Good peeps overall at Herb Chambers Allston.

I used the web interface to ask a question about service. I was looking for a dealership to service my MINI Countryman and asked if they could tell me the nearest MBTA stop as I thought I could visit the MFA while they serviced my MINI. In her reply, some complete idiot named Maddie decided to refuse to answer the question I asked, instead feeding me a line of crap about how they would "take a look through the vehicles we have on our lot" and get back to me. WTF?? Then of course she wanted to know the "best number to reach you." Total scam. I asked for I formation regarding service OF AN EXISTING CAR and she thinks she can sell me another one instead? Business must be really bad when you have to troll people. It's bimbo assholes like Maddie that give women in business a bad name.

update: this car buying experience believe it or not got worse. Badis messaged my husband and called me a liar. He claimed he never said the things I claimed he said. I am absolutely floored a car salesman would text MY husband and tell him I was lying and that HE was accommodating. So not only did you have zero interest in helping me from the moment I walked in, treat me like s**** and tell me you thought my husband was a lazy a******* but then you turn this around on me? im reporting this business to the military base to have it blacklisted. Our military members deserve better. My husband has been deployed overseas for months so I went to Herb Mini to look at a vehicle online my husband found and was interested in. Right now I'm a "single" working mom to 4 kids and don't have a lot of extra time or energy. My husband called the dealership and was assured the vehicle he was interested in, and one other was there for me to see so l didn't have to find someone to watch my kids and drive to Boston for nothing. When I got there I was introduced to Badis. I don't know if it's because I'm female or what, but he was rude and degrading for the entire experience. Badis claimed he didn't have the vehicles to show me. I said my husband called and they told him you guys DO have the vehicles. He's like you want to see the vehicles? (Insert annoyed tone) I'm like yeah, I didn't drive all the way here for nothing. So he begrudgingly took me to the garage to show me a vehicle claiming the other one wasn't there to see. I FaceTimed my husband to show him the car. Only because my husband was really interested did I stick around. During the time he showed me the car, he rudely told me my trade in wasn't worth what I wanted for it, that I was at a quote luxury dealership, that he didn't need my business because the car is popular and would sell quickly, and that my car would sit on the lot for 2 years before it sold. Again, only because my husband is serving overseas for our country, and I felt like he deserved the vehicle he wanted, did I stick around. The icing on the cake was when Badis said I should come in with my husband the following week, and I reminded him if he wanted to deal with my husband it would have to wait until November when he got home from deployment did he finally grasp the fact that I wasn't there for myself. He said, oh I thought your husband wanted the car and was just a lazy a****** who went to the gym and sent his wife to take pictures for him. I will never refer anyone to this dealership, EVER. They are supposed to meet me with the car today or tomorrow. "
