After being involved in an accident and being offered a rental car, I figured I'd go with hertz since it was closest to me. That was a mistake.
This location is impossible to get ahold of, the phone just keeps ringing and no one ever picks up (15+ minutes of it just ringing). Even after calling the central Hertz Customer Service line and having them send a notification to this location letting them know I'm trying to call them, no one ever calls back. I tried just showing up but the only car they had available was a Chevy Malibu that had just been returned with the previous driver smoking in it. What's the point of having a reservation/confirmation if there aren't any cars available?
My options were to either show up another day and hope a car was available or go all the way to Revere for a car. Thankfully I can just borrow my fiancée's car or I would have had to continue running around in circles with Hertz to get a vehicle.
Never again will I go with Hertz.

Why would I want to sit in a chat or on a phone call to further explain what’s happened? My experiences with your customer service have already been terrible, why would I subject myself to that again?

I've been running from hurts for the last few months since I came back from Georgia if you don't go to 150 Freeport Street in Dorchester to get a rental something is very wrong with you they will accommodate you they will help you to the best of their ability they won't try to Short change you they won't try to over charge you they won't give you any dirty vehicles they are amazing it should be more people like them the manager and the guy that sits at the front desk at the door amazing men very polite respectful willing to go to the end of the Earth for you I recommend hurts on 150 Freeport Street and Dorchester to everybody in America and I have a lot of friends use my name Rachel Smith

Do better! It’s not okay to rent dirty vehicles to your customers. I made reservations way in advance, pickup morning, I was given a dirty “Lyft” labeled car. The seats, floor, dash were dirty. I was told that’s all they had, but that’s not the customer’s concern. Not sure if it’s the location, why we’re expected to accept “less than”. But I won’t be back.

People got this office wrong. This office yes back then has had a bad reputation. But the new staff there now are amazing and very helpful give them the opportunity to show ya that office has potential and great workers don’t just go by old comments because not everyone there was there before when te office was running crazy and not in good shape. The office now has a better vibe and better cars and people working there

So I would have given a bad review because I made a same day reservation and I expected to have a rental when I arrived. This location is different they do not have many vehicles on hand. I did not know their stock does not reflect what they have on hand. The manager walked out and talked to me as I was already in the lot calling enterprise. He was very understanding and helped me out a lot by solving my problem of not having a car . I think this issue is more of a corporate problem than location issue. Within minutes I had a car that was cleaned and ready to go. I honestly think you’re not paying the man enough for what he does for you Hertz. Thank you to the manger I didn’t catch his name but the man works his butt off.

Do not make any reservation with this rent car they will charge you $50 us if you cancel your reservation even many days before the schedule pick up.

Great service, very kind and patient when I was having problems with my credit card. Relatively speedy service. The 2 workers answered all my questions with ease. We got a KIA Niro EV from the manager's special selection.

Terrible. They have specific policies in place that are different than on the website. Complete bait & switch.Folks working there are great, they're just doing their job.

The office does not look professional and the staff are not trained properly and not very helpful in addressing concerns of customers. Had to wait for a long time as well.Car availability is bad and i got charged with an upgrade fee even though i dint ask for an upgrade. One woman who is the staff over there was definitely very nice and friendly. Overall requires a lot of improvement.

The worst possible Hertz location in Boston. Do not bother renting from here. The employees are useless and no one picks up the phone.
