CALL AHEAD IF RENTING A TRUCK!!! I had an AWFUL experience at this location with communication and customer service. I reserved one of their rental trucks several days in advance through the website so I could use it to move. However, when I showed up the day of my reservation (10 min before it was supposed to start) they informed me that the truck I had rented/reserved was no longer available. It was “out of commission.” I was not notified of this by staff over email or by phone. In fact, just that morning I had received several emails reminding me that my rental reservation was “coming up.” Additionally, when I asked the staff for some help locating other trucks (at that location and others) I was told to “Call around and figure it out [your] myself.” They did cancel the reservation after I asked for a refund, so I did at least get my money back. This was an awful experience as I had to scramble (and pay more money) to find a truck elsewhere on my literal moving day. I recommend calling in advance even if they claim they have vehicles available or just save your time and go to the Norwood Home Depot where they have it together.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the customer service I received at the Home Depot in West Roxbury. Sat, July, 5 2025. 10:00 am
During my visit, I needed assistance retrieving a wire that was placed on the top shelf in the electrical section. When I asked the staff in that area for help, they simply told me it wasn’t the wire I needed — without even letting me take a closer look. Despite my request to bring the wire down so I could confirm for myself, they refused.
I then approached other employees for assistance, but all of them declined to help as well. I was told that a store supervisor would be called, but the supervisor never showed up.
As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic respect and consideration, especially when making a purchase that requires accurate product identification. The complete lack of support and unwillingness to assist was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable for a store of this size and reputation.
I hope Home Depot takes this feedback seriously and addresses the customer service issues at this location. No customer should be ignored or dismissed when simply asking for help.

Worst experience ever at Home Depot.
I love shopping at Home Depot but the experience I get every time I giva a chance to this specific store is a nightmare.
Employees are rude, they are not interested in serving and helping the costumers at any time. Something is off at this store and it has been going on for a while.
Forget about trying to rent a van here! Despite you will see two to three trucks in the parking lot, only one van is available and if you are that lucky to manage booking one (online only because people at the store have no idea at all about its availability), be prepared to to have Home Depot cancelling your reservation at any time out of nowhere, even one hour before your pick-up time!

Store used to be great now the employees just don't care. Try and ask for help and they don't have a clue. Go to a specific department and try and find someone from that department? Good luck. Go to the PRO DESK.....got a better chance at seeing God, it's more important for them to sit there playing on their phones. One star is too generous.

Leah was so kind from the moment I walked into the store. She greeted me right away and helped me find what I was looking for, even going the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. Andrew so also very helpful which I appreciated.

This store used to be great with knowledgeable and helpful staff in every department who knew the merchandise and made it easy to select the right product. It has been getting progressivelly worse over the last couple of years. The staff knows little or nothing about the merchandise they sell, where to find it, no idea what or how to use it, and has no interest in assisting customers. The staff at the service desk was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I gave this store five stars a couple of years ago. Now, I feel, one star is too generous.

This HD always has what I am looking for. Very well stocked store. I was amazed that the store cut some wood to the length I needed for no charge. I am not a professional with tools, so yeah, spectacular service.

Javad who works in the kitchen/countertop department is amazing
He went the extra mile when helping us with our granite
Also Christine in customer service is great. Super helpful and patient
I actually enjoy coming to this big box store because the workers there are very helpful for the most part!
