Stayed there one night while we were in town for blue man group show and instead of driving an hour home we stayed in Boston. This place was better than expected. The valet was over the top friendly, nice and welcoming. The check in was easy and hassle free and the male employee checking us in was super nice. When we got back to the hotel after the show the room next to us there seemed to be a domestic situation and we called down to the front desk which resulted in security or whoever I didn’t see responding to that room within minutes and there was no other issues for the rest of the night. Room was clean and decent sized. Requesting our vehicle from valet was super easy and check out was smooth the following day.Thought the hotel was priced reasonably although, I can’t provide comparison to nearby hotels since this is the first hotel that came up when googled it. I liked the reviews and the price so I booked it. Next time we venture into Boston and decide to stay the night we definitely will stay here again.Rooms: Spacious and clean. Temperature was perfect when we walked in. Wish the bathroom had a tub instead of just the shower.Food & drinks: Fire and ice restaurant was 5 min walking distance from hotel.

From the moment we pulled up to the curb to the moment we pulled out to return home, our stay in Boston at Hotel AKA Back Bay was simply fabulous. Our kids (ok, the adults, too) felt like royalty with the service of the staff and with the building itself. (Be sure to take the time and ask about the history of this gorgeous building! It adds to the experience and made us appreciate the building a bit more.) Valet, desk staff, bar tender, manager.....every single person was friendly, polite, extremely helpful and welcoming. The room itself was spacious and clean, a rollaway was there when we arrived (we requested it), and the bathroom had the best shower EVER (priorities, right?)! Despite renovations in progress, the hotel was clean, quiet and elegant.Ryan, one of the managers, took the time to welcome us, chat with us throughout our stay (he even showed our kids pictures of his cats), and went the extra mile to make us feel at home.We will be repeat customers of Hotel AKA Back Bay.

Wow the service from the time of your arrival to the time you depart is truly top notch. Everyone we came into contact with was amazing. My boyfriend and our pup stayed for a night and had a great experience. The room was perfect and the location is great and within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. I would stay again in a heart beat! Thank you!

The best experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. There was an issue on our end of the booking and the manager (the gentleman in the evenings) worked everything out seamlessly for me. He went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and OVER THE TOP. I had such a beautiful clean room. It was spectacular and I rarely say this about hotels, but it was absolutely spectacular.Rooms: so so clean and gorgeous!Food & drinks: Delicious drinks!

Great place to stay in Boston. Absolutely impressed with the staff that helped us with our booking problem. They kept working the problem until everyone had a satisfactory answer. Ryan and a young lady whose name I wrote down and lost. I am grateful to them both and when I find that business card I will bring their fine service to the attention of management. The room was .. perfect.

The building had switched from AC to Heat for our stay in October. Even with the heating completely turned off, our room was consistently between 77-80f. Despite the cold temperatures outside, with the thermostat turned off and windows open, the residual heat of the building kept room hot.Asked reception for any solution - they sent maintenance who tried to turn thermostat off and on again for 10+ mins, before fetching a fan. Front desk generally disinterested in the situation.A very warm two night stay.Hotel itself is acceptable. Rooms a little dated and cramped. Room hadn’t been fully cleaned before our stay (found an Apple Watch on the floor by the bed - handed into reception). Lobby pleasant enough with free coffee. A small gym on site and access to Equinox nearby. Good location is redeeming factor.Overpriced for Head of the Charles weekend. Next time I’ll book old reliable, the Fairmont Copley.

Great location. Great hotel. The gym could be a little bigger and better equipped. Coffee is readily available but comes from a machine. However I would return and stay here

Historical hotel was the old police headquarters. Tastefully updated with fine, comfortable amenities. Downstairs pub has great appetizers. Concierge is awesome. Worth a stay!

Solid rooms but nothing special and a bit dated. Hotel nice though in general. Location is great and their partnership with Equinox is a big

Very nice place to stay! Everyone was friendly, beds are comfortable and well appointed. We loved that it was the old Boston Police dept. Headquarters. We didn't realize that when we booked. We are a blue family so that was a cool thing to know :) perfect location near Newberry St. And Prudential Building.

Not clean. I stayed at the hotel on Oct. 11th 2023. Room had food in the carpet and an empty bottle of water was in the room, a clear sign the room was not cleaned properly. In addition the city had a truck or some type of construction outside of building from 1am to 3am. The noise was unbearable and while not the fault of the hotel, when they originally said they would take money of the bill - they accounted for extra fees and so the amount deducted was almost $100 dollar less from what was promised. Not worth the expensive rate.

A lot of hidden fees: resort fees - it didn’t look like resort to me and they don’t have a swimming pool and plus another fees that weren’t mentioned on website. You have to pay $8 for water in the room. When you book on website it’s one price but when you arrive to the hotel you pay extra.

The hospitality provided by everyone at the hotel exceeds "on point". Located within walking distance to many must see, and must try spots in Boston. There was a slight wrinkle in the carpet, so to speak, with the A. , Better than a simple apology, the Director of Beverage and Hospitality, Mr. William Johnson seized an opportunity. He showcased a few wonderful wines they carry by providing free glasses of red or white. For those who don't partake, bottled water was offered. That became the highlight on a hot day instead of the lack of AC.He is the reason I shall choose AKA Back Bay over others when staying Boston.
