Lovely hotel right in the center of downtown Boston! I stayed in a suite on the second floor, there was only one other room near me. Hotel room was a great size, bedroom itself was huge! Staff was extremely friendly! They have an observation deck on the 27th floor but unfortunately it was closed due to a snow storm. The heater can be LOUD but I didn't mind it. Would stay here again if I'm ever in Boston!Walkability: Right in the middle of Downtown near the harbor!

The stupid observation deck was closed the whole time I was there apparently of the “security” team. What the hell are you doing have if the thing closed when there was nothing wrong it it! Incliment weather? Yeah right! It was perfectly fine. I was really disappointed and hate the customer house security team. You’re all a bunch of losers. I expect justice. The room was good though but not the observation deck being closed. Way to go guys! ???

Modern rooms and a truly eye-catching and elegant structure.A big point of demerit is the fact that they don't care about the bonvoy status.More of a residence than a hotel

Our stay was fantastic. I really can't praise this hotel highly enough. Our suite was enormous and scrupulously clean, perfect for our family of four to spread out. Even the sofa bed was comfortable! We loved having the kitchenette, with real dishes, glasses, and cutlery. There was a small freezer in the mini fridge and a toaster! Housekeeping was outstanding and removed our dirty dishes each day, in addition to making the beds, replacing the towels, replenishing coffee, emptying wastebaskets, etc.The building is a historic site and absolutely beautiful, with plush carpet and many original details. There are a lot of fun amenities, such as a pool table, movie room, and playroom for little kids. Laundry is free! (detergent is provided under the kitchen sink, and a hamper is in the closet) The concierge even reached out a few days before our arrival to offer help planning activites and making reservations. This hotel's location cannot be beat. Faneuil Hall is just a few yards away. We were in town to see historic sites and were able to walk to the Tea Party Museum, Old Meeting House, Old State House, Boston Common, Paul Revere House, and Old North Church. We took a quick ferry from nearby Long Wharf to the USS Constitution Museum (they did not charge on the boat, but YMMV).Although this hotel is part of Marriott's timeshare program, we never received a sales pitch. As platinum members, we received 15 points per dollar for our stay. This is undoubtedly THE place to stay in Boston!Rooms: All rooms are suites. Ours had a separate bedroom with king bed. Rooms on the second floor have a loft instead.Nearby activities: The hotel provides a lot of free tours and tastings throughout the day.Walkability: We did not need a car.Food & drinks: Breakfast is a la carte and reasonably priced, but we bought groceries since we had space to eat in the room. Free coffee is available.

Hello Bonvoy Elite travelers,When I checked in, I asked is this a hotel or some other category and the receptionist confirmed oh yes it’s a hotel!!!! So I asked do I get any points for my stay or free breakfast as a Bonvoy Titanium member? No, you don’t get any points for your stay or any free breakfast because it’s a vacation club!!!So what is it??? And if you want to only attract non-bonvoy vacationers, don’t be ambiguous about it.The room and sitting area, nothing above a Marriott hotel, but the kitchenette only had a TINY fridge, NO dishwasher, And NO cooktop!!!! So what kinda of vacation long stay is this. However, this is ancient building in Boston across the street from the Marriott Long Warf and the OLD MOLDY CARPET was the highlight of a traditional Marriott long stay motel….. also, none of my requests as a Bonvoy member were honored but after I checked in and tried to unpack I got two phone calls from the front desk asking if I like my room, which I replied it’s OK but then another call asking if I’m OK with the room…

Amazing building and great property overall. Staff so friendly and location perfect. One our best stays ever.Rooms: Really great rooms. Ours was a loft blended into the original customs house structure.Walkability: Close to lots of local attractions, including north end.Food & drinks: Lots of restaurants close by. Quality varies massively, but worth putting in effort to find a good place

My child went in to use the bathroom and was turned away. When I went in to ask why a child could not use the bathroom. I was told it was to keep their guest safe. Are public bathrooms now in guest rooms? I wondered if it was race fueled micro aggression since my child is black and three white adult women stood by and justified their actions. Really made me consider cancelling my Titanium Bonvoy Marriott account.

I have never had a better hotel experience in my life. The room was amazing and the views were even better, both from our room and the famous observation deck. Everything was a great mix of new and fancy combined with historic and classy. We went up to the deck 3 times: at sunset, at night, and the next morning. The entire staff from the valet to the front desk to the concierge was top class. I live in Boston but I booked a night here because I wanted to propose to my girlfriend at the observation deck on the 26th floor overlooking the beautiful city at nightMy mom called and worked with the concierge, Brenda, to set it up so that we would have some champagne after I popped the question. We checked in with Zach who was professional, helpful, and made no mention of the champagne surpriseAfter popping the question while overlooking our city, I called the front desk and they brought up the bottle shortly after. We then went out to continue celebrating and the staff at the front desk greeted us with smiles and congratulations. Everything went seamlessly and we really appreciated how kind and helpful everyone wasWhen we checked out we checked our bags so we could go to brunch, and again the front desk, this time Mike, was incredibly kind and cheerily congratulated us. The man who checked our bags was also the valet and got our bags and vehicle quickly The hotel even had more to offer, including a game room with a pool table and events like a spiked root beer social, but we weren't able to really take advantage of those amenities.I really don't think they could have done a better job than they did. It was perfect and they made our special night even better

We had the most wonderful stay! We spent 3 nights here celebrating a birthday and felt pampered the entire stay. Monika with the Concierge services welcomed us with birthday treats and helped us make great reservations for dinner. The stand out for us was Eunice! She was the bar tender at the vault and she loved on us everyday in so many thoughtful ways. She's an absolute asset to Custom House.Great amenities, gorgeous views, and wonderful service made this perfectly located hotel a must return!

Marriott Longwharf used to be our hotel choice in Boston proper, but the price there is excessive and the quality has gone downhill. On the other hand, we've found that the Marriott Customs House is a much better option: even closer walking distance to Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market and other things in the area, and fairly easy access to public transportation, too. While this property is one of their vacation club offerings you can book regular nights here like a hotel - and most of the time my experience has been there is little to no marketing of the vacation club to guests.Guests have access to the outside viewing area - great for sunsets, watching planes at Logan, or just taking in the views of Boston and beyond. Hard to believe that at one time this was the tallest building here - and that the docks and ocean was just steps away.

I LOVED this hotel! I was only here for a night, but arrived after a grueling 9-mile hike in the White Mountains followed by a 3-hour drive to Boston, I couldn’t have felt more at home. The room had a lovely kitchenette, a living room, a dining table, a separate bathroom and a separate bedroom. It was so beautiful. My room looked out on a busy intersection but there was no residual noise, making it a lovely perch for people watching. The service was awesome — 20 minutes after settling into the room, I got a call from the front desk asking if everything was okay with the room and they sent up someone from engineering to check on the temperature (I hadn’t been able to find the thermostat). The breakfast spread wasn’t outstanding, but had the basics and there was a very nice host there to give me the rundown. Also, there was FREE LAUNDRY! Which after two days of intense hiking was music to my ears! I would be very excited to come back to this hotel and highly recommend it! The view is also outstanding from the 26th floor!

This is a total hidden gem in Boston! The location is as good as it could be and the room completely exceeded our expectations. On top of that we were consistently impressed by the front desk service. Couldn’t be more happy. You’ll be glad you chose this place! Would return next time for sure!
