Great service and quality cuts with affordable prices!!! I don’t speak Mandarin, but they were able to give me a great haircut and understand what I wanted regardless (bring a picture and show them what you want). Quick and easy, thanks again (:

Wish I took before and after pictures (will come back again and take pics then), but did an amazing job cutting my hairI am ethnically Vietnamese and struggle finding places that cut Asian men hair for an affordable priceAs of writing this review, men's haircut only was $22 and $25 with washing (recommend getting the wash and cut)

I've been going to Mei's for the last 4 or 5 years now and they consistently give great haircuts and they have the extra bonus of having the best prices in Boston too.

I visited Mei's Hair Place with my friend. We both had negative experience here. Sam was the barber and owner. We both made appointments but he rushed on us while other walk-in customers starting to complain about the waiting time. During the haircut, he criticized about our grey hair and thinning issue. We tried to ignore his bad comments but he repeated a feel times to ensure that he stabbed your feeling and self-confidence. He was just rude and unprofessional.

Located near China Town in Boston South end the facility is clean and the haircut includes a hair wash before and afterwards. An interesting alternative to SUPERCUTS. Friendly staff / good hair cut $25 no straight razor or line work here though. Unisex so all welcome.

i was a little nervous as my chinese isn't great but i was able to get by since Sam knows a good amount of english. it's a pretty basic cut but im happy with how it came out. Sam could tell how damaged my hair was and cut just enough to get rid of the split ends but to keep my hair still long to keep me happy. i had wanted 1.5in cut but he convinced me to cut about 3-4in off which im really glad he did. i could tell Sam really cared about my hair as he gave me lots of tips afterwards on how to get my hair healthy again. the cut for long hair was $23 which isn't bad at all and its cash only. there werent any other customers there at the time but it was clean and they had separators. i would highly recommend Sam!

I needed a last minute haircut before my flight to Costa Rica, and found this salon through Yelp. I had a bit of difficulty finding the salon but when I finally came in (without an appointment), I felt welcomed quickly and went ahead with the haircut. It felt so much like my experience in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, since it was so authentic and professionally done. Highly recommended are also the exact words I could describe about this salon!

I was in the area for lunch and took a chance to go to Mei's Hair Place. I have thick Asian hair (guy) that really only looks good in one style, so I'm very picky about how my hair is cut. I've also had enough bad haircuts that I'm really hesitant to go to a salon that I'm not familiar with. Mei's Hair Place is sort of in an odd location (inside an office building), but once in the folks are friendly (though with limited English), but I had a photo and "Mr. Yu" went at it. I'm very happy with the result, and the price isn't too high either. Definitely will come again.

I have never written a review before, but I felt too strongly about my negative experience.
