The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world, featuring nearly 500,000 works of art. It attracts over one million visitors each year, showcasing a diverse collection that spans from ancient Egyptian art to contemporary pieces, along with special exhibitions and innovative educational programs. Visitors appreciate the beautiful layout of the museum, often describing it as a maze that invites exploration from room to room. Many recommend taking multiple visits to fully experience everything the MFA has to offer. Currently, the museum features a stunning Van Gogh exhibition and has a powerful permanent collection, including Gauguin’s notable work. While the gift shop offers a fun selection of items, some guests have expressed disappointment in the cafe's limited hours. Overall, the MFA is considered a must-see attraction in Boston, perfect for art lovers or anyone seeking inspiration in a peaceful setting. Bank of America cardholders can enjoy free admission on the first weekend of every month, making it more accessible for those looking to explore this artistic treasure.
Great museum with great artwork on display! Friendly and helpful staff, nice AC! Beautiful gardens and the gift shop was great as well! They did not search our bag but the website says they can and will so just keep that in mind.
