This place scammed us. On two occasions we brought the car in and asked for a quote prior to them doing the work. They kept the car for over a week the first time and did not communicate or respond to texts or calls, then called to say it is ready to pick up even though they never have a quote. We showed up and it was a very expensive bill. After 2 days of driving, the same light came on. We brought it back and said to make sure to call us this time before doing the work. HE DID THE SAME THING AGAIN and charged us even more the second time without a quote prior to doing the work. The same light came on again and we took it to J&P garage up the street who is very helpful. He found there was a chewed wire and fixed it quickly and cheaply. The worst part is that PC auto repair claimed to do an oil change and even put a new sticker, but we now see that the oil was never changed and we had to get another oil change the next month. What a scam artist. Looking into getting consumer protection involved to see if we can get refunded for this.

Paolo was truly incredible! My car broke down on a Saturday on my way home to Wisconsin from Maine. I got towed to PC Auto, and Paolo had me rolling back home by noon the next day. Truly incredible service and speed!

This man is a liar and a thief. I had a interlock device installed in my car for 2 years without any issues. When it came time for it to be removed my regular Intoxilock mechanic was on vacation so Intoxilock found me this guy. I am a automotive mechanic by trade but never threw that in his face so legally i was not allowed to remove it only an intoxilock mechanic can. It only cost me 150$ to install it but yet he charged me 300$ to remove it. He had said that he soldered all the wires back. That was a lie there is only one wire that the installer had to cut to install it and instead of solder there was one single 2 cent cheapo but connector. He took it out on wed my car stopped starting on that mon just 5 days later and never started again. I called him he said its up to me to get the car to him on my dollar. I would rather walk than to bring my car back to him.

Me and my girlfriend got a flat tire on our way into Boston and the owner of this auto shop was kind enough to stay open an hour later than usual to help us replace our flat tires. The owners and his employees were extremely nice and helpful as well. We are very appreciative for their help.-Adam & NatalieService: Auto tire replacement

P C is the only place we bring our car! We’ve come three times in the last six months for body work, a tire leak repair, and a taillight replacement. Every time, the car has been worked on immediately and finished within about 30 minutes. The pricing is reasonable (usually lower than we expect!) and we trust them 100%. Would recommend to a friend!Services: General repairs & maintenance

First time owning a car + living in Boston with it and happened to go to PC because it was down the street. Paolo is a super genuine and helpful guy, gave me a great rundown of what my car needed, explained what he was going to do, and even helped me document it with pics! Thank you Paolo!

I want to start off that my experience here first started positively- My car unexpectedly died while out on route 1 with no warning ( Power Steering issue, could not speed up while driving, etc) and after waiting 4+ hrs for a night tow I had to leave it in the mall parking lot and come back in the morning to get a tow to a mechanic. My usual mechanic and first choice was Ming's Auto down the street ( they are fantastic and fair BTW) but they were booked until the following week and I had to be out of town that weekend and really needed a quick fix. I called PC Auto after reading a bunch of good reviews here and I think it was the owner that answered- he was courteous and said sure I could tow it to him and he could take a look at it. I get the car there (This was a Friday morning ) and he said he would call me with an estimate. I didn't hear anything as the day got later so I gave a call late afternoon and was told he had my car on the jack and would call me back momentarily. He gave me a quote mind you I have a piece of the door handle missing and also asked if he could replace this which he said he would try) the quote was was fair and also noted I should get the oil change etc , but that he did not want me to spend extra money if I didn't need it... I said to just go ahead and proceed. He said he would have it done by the next day. Great. So Sat morning he had it done pretty fast and I walked over to go pick up the car- happy it was done and I can proceed with my plans that weekend. When I get there, totally different vibe- he hands me the itemized bill, and looking at the total- it was about $100-$150 more than was quoted prior. Mind you the door handle thing was not fixed and he glazed over the fact he would have to get it from Honda and that he could call if I wanted- Like I specifically asked for this to be fixed and that wasn't even included in the total. I got immediately annoyed over the new price and I understand things/issues/parts come up, but really this should have been accounted for and asked before proceeding- this could have been done with a second quick phone call for full transparency. What if i didn't have the extra $? He noted he had to add a few parts and "other things" and annoyed and in a rush I said "Fine, ok"- The overall picture was that I was prepared for it to be expensive and it was under what I initially thought and let it go. Here is where the semi- shady part comes in. He tells me to go into the office to pay which I brought out my debit card. The cc machine is one of those older types and not like an ipad where you see the total. He manually had to enter it in - he gives me the little receipt and I go about my way not thinking twice about it. On the way back I stop at a store and just happened to check my account and noticed I was charged an extra $30 to the total. WHAT. I call him back immediately and ask why the total was different from the bill. I did not like his attitude and he informs me there is a credit card charge for putting it on a card... Excuse me what? Now mind you I understand there may be a fee to use a card- at most maybe $5 but $30???????? I don't think he banked on just because I was a woman and not with a guy or BF and it looked like I seemingly didn't know anything about cars that he was just going to charge me unethically whatever he wanted. I complained on the phone and said that is not right you charged me that and you should have verbally let me know that there is a charge. He says "there are signs on my door that say that...Are you serious??? That is unacceptable. I'm not sure if anyone else had this issue, but this is extremely shady and I am not happy about it. Instead of offering a solution- he actually said "well I can refund it and the charge if you want to go get cash". UNBELIEVABLE. No, I am not going to wait for a hold on my acct while you refund so that I can go out of my way to go to a bank on a Saturday because you want to illegally charge me $30. Every one of my male friends/

My 2001 Toyota 4Runner was having transmission issues, so I looked up nearby auto shops where I could have it looked at / get an estimate. I was on my way to P C Auto Repair when the car broke down, so I called Paolo back and he let me have it towed directly to the shop. He gave me an itemized estimate by the end of the day — more than I was hoping, but isn't that always the case? He allowed me to provide some of my own parts (mainly a new radiator) to cut down on costs, so long as I could get them to him by the end of the week — a reasonable request. He had to flush the transmission fluid 3+ times but graciously only charged me for the amount of fluid on the estimate. When I came to pick the car up, he showed me the gradations of fluid color and consistency after each flush. All in all, I was lucky to find Paolo on such short notice. He was very responsive (I must have called him a half-dozen times over the course of three days), he was realistic and easy to work with, and he did great work on the car. I recommend P C Auto Repair without reservation.Service: Auto maintenance

I was hesitant to find a good place to take my car for repairs, due to bad experience in the past. At P C Auto Repair, I was well respected by multiple employees, treated with kindness and honesty. I took my car there for an estimate and was given a straight answer and cost breakdown, as well as an explanation for my options, without belittling me or talking down to me. I am so so pleased with my experience here I will be back for sure, with all of my repairs!

Cannot recommend their service enough. I brought my car in thinking that a rattling sound from the rear tire would be a simple fix, but quickly found out it was a much bigger issue. Paul was incredibly helpful and transparent start to finish. He immediately got to work on the diagnosis and estimate while providing photo evidence via text every step of the way. He made sure to order the replacement parts from Mercedes ASAP to speed up the process. Dealing with my insurance for coverage was a breeze, mainly thanks to his professionalism and attention to detail. I was out of town when the repairs were complete and he was nice enough to not only house my car a few extra days, but also took the time to wash it for me. I highly recommend choosing their business for anything from routine maintence to comprehensive repairs. Best experience possible anywhere near the city of Boston.

Looking for quality auto repair by a trusted mechanic near Brighton? Paulo at PC Auto Repair is the place to go! Quality work every time. Locally owned and operated. All makes and models. No frills shop. (Not a place to sit and wait with wifi and coffee, just so you know. But: Coffee shop, restaurants, CVS across street. Grocery store nearby, too.) Paulo is the best: trustworthy and professional, and treats you like family.
