0 stars. If you are seeking party supplies in Boston, I urge you to support small businesses and go elsewhere to avoid extreme disappointment. The manager at this Party City, Jason, is entitled, to say the least, and called the police on me because he did not want to issue a refund on an order I didn't receive, which is theft. According to the FTC mail/internet order rules, he is required to give me a refund. I placed a balloon order the week of my partners birthday. The day my order was supposed to be delivered, I received a partial delivery and an order cancellation without a refund or notice for redelivery. In total, I ordered 35 balloons and 5 foil weights and ended up with 10 balloons and 1 foil weight. I have documentation of the first delivery, the delivery driver, the cancellation, my receipt, the balloons I received, and the ones I didn't receive. I would not go through this much effort for a refund if I didn't spend a lot of money on a balloon order... I called the store several times to share my grievance and was met with incompetence and hostility. One employee and Jason kept saying my balloons were picked up by another driver and on the way, but I had no way of tracking this redelivery. While I was trying to investigate and get more details from the store, I was informed that since Party City does their delivery through DoorDash, the store couldn't help me. I contacted DoorDash's customer service and whoever had the order marked it as delivered, which wasn't true. DoorDash tried getting in touch with the store to help me resolve the issue. Since I paid Party City they would need to either issue another balloon order or refund me. The customer service representative had no luck getting in touch with the store. When I called back, one employee was trying to figure out what to refund me on and Jason proceeded to tell her that they do not have time for a refund and they would deal with it the following Monday. After reading other reviews, it looks like this is Jason's MO. While I was on the phone with Jason, I explicitly said that I planned on reporting him because he was delaying and refusing my refund and was met with "Make sure you spell my name right," and he hung up on me. I didn't trust that he would refund me and decided to go to the store to settle the refund in person. While in the store, I stood in line with other customers. I got to the front of the register and said I was there for a refund. Jason asked me which order I was referring to. When he realized it was me, I was met with incredible hostility and he said "I don't have time for this, either get out of my line or get out of my store." Within 45 seconds, Jason called the Boston police and told them I was refusing to leave the store and that I was asking to be refunded on an order that I refused to return. This dude called the cops and lied to them rather than dealing with the situation in a calm matter. He proceeded to try and intimidate me by telling me that he was the owner of the building and Massachusetts law allowed him to kick me out of the store. Imagine going to a pizza shop. You place an order for six pizzas and they only deliver two. You go back to the shop and explain that part of your order wasn't delivered and you'd like a refund. The proprietor freaks out and tells you that they're too busy to help you and you need to leave the store or they're calling the cops. Sounds crazy, no? FYI the owner of this franchise is someone named James K. and as far as I was made aware, Jason is just some manager, not the building or business owner. This man caused a scene... he wasted my time, his time, other patrons time, and the Boston police's time. My partner and I didn't speak to the police and ended up leaving. I filed a report with Party City corporate. The situation has been escalated and I'm waiting to hear back about the next steps. This business needs a manager overhaul and Jason needs to check his ego and get some customer service training

I ordered balloons to be delivered between 2 and 4 pm; they arrived at 5:30 when the party was just about over! I called and got a manager who promised a refund. I never got it. I went in to get the refund and the manager refused to give it! "You got the balloons." What a load of crap. Order balloons from anywhere else! 0 stars.

I've visited this store on multiple occasions due to work. Every experience has been different. Most of the time staff is friendly and ready to help. Sadly, today's experience was not that. An employee at the front of the store (who would not identify herself) was extremely unprofessional and rude. She yelled and cursed and loudly proclaimed " there are just 2 of us working. " I definitely can understand being short handed and needing some extra patience from customers, in which I did. What I will never understand is how she behaved or how she made me feel. She should not be working with people if this is how she responds to stress. #Disappointed

A couple months back I came into the store with one hour to go before my son's birthday. I needed a lot of balloons but had no idea exactly how many or how to organize them. I was beyond lucky to have the loveliest employee name Marta help me out. She quickly briefed me on all the options available and assisted with navigating through them and finding the best arrangement for my needs. As I was running like a mad woman through the store she helped make sure my order was ready in time. I thanked her for her kindness, efficiency and support and left in a hurry only to find out the order is too big to fit in my car. Marta then proceeded to save me again with arranging a delivery straight to the party site which arrived right on time. If it isn't clear by now Marta provided me with the best costumer service any person could ever ask for and she did so kindly, warmly and with a smile at all times. I highly highly recommend this Party City and will always appreciate the helpful hands without which my son's birthday would not have been complete.

I will not be shopping at Party City again. Very dissatisfied and disappointed that I was lied to about the return policy. At the time of purchase, the cashier said I could return the item anytime within the next 30 days. When I went to return it a week later, they said it was a seasonal item, so I was unable to return it because it must be returned seven days prior to the holiday.

This is a clear example of how a good store can fail due to an incompetent and poorly prepared manager who clearly does not understand the concept of customer service! She was arrogant, dismissive, and clearly overwhelmed to perform her duties. No wonder the store is falling so rapidly...

Ran in to grab balloons last minute for a baby shower the Saturday before Halloween. The store was packed but all of the lines moved very quickly and Jason went out of his way to personally fill up the balloons on the spot after another employee told us it would be a 1-2 hour wait. Typically you're supposed to order balloons ahead of time but we had no idea and are SO grateful for Jason!!!! Truly exceptional service, he went above and beyond -- even during party city's busiest day of the year. great party city, will definitely come back!

Went to Party City and met Martha, and the manager, James. Both are very helpful and knowledgeable in their function. Very helpful! I have been to party stores and...kind of dread going to them if I'm in any kind of rush. But in this case the time spent was very helpful! They do balloon delivery even if you bring in your own balloons for them to blow up! I would also like to mention Jason, another manager, who was patient, helpful, and knowledgeable as well. He instilled confidence in providing me information about the balloon delivery process and was professional and even thanked me for being a customer. I am sad to see the low star rating. I understand everyone's experience is unique and different. My experience with this location and the employees has been nothing but positive and very grateful for that.

This is one of the best spots for parents if they want to throw a party for their kids. I usually buy a variety of well-priced gifts for my nephew's and his classmates, and they are happy with them. Worth a look, you'll find some, I'm sure.

This place is always ahead of the 'holiday' curve. All aisles are Mostly stocked. Staff knows where everything is. The pricing on some of the items though, hmm

My mother had a return to do and they refuse to give her $$ and got a gift card instead. Heads up for those who have to do a return you will only get a gift card…Very disappointed

Avoid this place at all costs. Do not order online expecting the products to be delivered from this or picked up. If you love rude and incompetent employees then proceed. Otherwise choose anything else. Not only did they not fulfill the order for the party but they kept lying on the phone over and over. Talking to the management did not help at all. Calling their corporate headquarters didn't either. This is a terrible business and should be avoided

I literally needed two balloons for a two year olds birthday. When I arrived, I asked if I was able to purchase two balloons. the clerk said No and they aren't taking walkins. even for only two balloons???
