Just discovered this amazing nail salon in Boston recently! I’ve already been there twice. Great service and friendly staff (just make sure to be clear about what you want).

Friendly staff. Convenient location. Hot stone massage during the pedicure was a nice touch, although too short. But overall, I would not go back based on the finished look of my nails. The mani pedi polish did not dry properly before the technician put my shoes on and touched my fingernails to see if they were dry, so there are smudges and creases that she did not fix. I will end up removing and redoing the polish myself at home. Given the end state of the polish, I wish I hadn’t spent the $80.
UPDATE: Diane was very responsive and helpful and made things right. Appreciate the customer service and the willingness to fix it afterwards. I’ve updated my 2-star review in consideration of the manager’s help.

Fiancée went there previously and had good experiences but had such a bad experience with Anna that she genuinely cried when she came home. Nails looked nice but she said the process (which she’s done before many times) was incredibly painful and her nails were still burning. Additionally, Anna cut her finger by accident and when fiancée pointed it out, she put rubbing alcohol into the open wound which just hurt her further. To make matters worse, Anna got wax in her ponytail when shaping her eyebrows. It’s a shame because she enjoyed coming here in the past but will not be returning after such a negative experience now.

Have gotten my nails done here twice now and they do a fantastic job! It’s definitely a little pricey but they do quality work that lasts.

I’ve been coming to PS nails for about 4 years and couldn’t recommend it enough. There are dozens of spots on newbury st/back bay to get your nails done but this is the only one worth going to. I leave so happy with my nails everytime and everyone who works there is so kind! Make an appointment with Vivian, you won’t be disappointed!!!

This is the third time I have made an appointment and I have had to wait. Last time I waited 35 minutes and they still were unable to attend to me. Guess this is fine for walk in but scheduling an appointment doesn’t really mean anything.

I showed my nail tech Anna an inspiration photo from Pinterest and she worked with me to make such a fun and pretty set!! Check in, the space, and the rest of the staff were also friendly and came to watch Anna work (: Had a regular pedicure + gel x extensions w/ cat eye, 3d gel, etc. and she was great with the prep and shaping!! Can’t wait to come back!

I used to love coming here, Hannah was amazing and always made my experience feel personal and high-quality. Since she left for another salon, it just hasn’t been the same. Wishing them all the best, and I hope the salon continues to maintain the same level of care and service.

I had dip and pedicure. Both were wondeful. If you want to know how much exactly it’s all going to be, make sure you ask for the mani pedi level you want. I didn’t. And I was kinda glad I didn’t. I wanted to be pampered and the slightly upgraded treatments were really nice and my nails look great.

While I was in town visiting family, I needed some self-pampering. After I Googled top-rated nail salons, I found PJ's Nail and journeyed down the Charles River from Cambridge to the Back Bay neighborhood.
I had such a great experience at PJ’s Nails on Gloucester Street - thanks to the lovely Anna! She took care of my gel manicure and spa pedicure, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. She’s warm, welcoming, and has this infectious energy that instantly puts you at ease. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and it shows in the quality of her work.
My nails came out beautifully, super clean, polished, and exactly how I wanted them. The spa pedicure was relaxing from start to finish, and Anna paid close attention to every detail without rushing. It felt like a real treat.
The salon itself is clean, cozy, and inviting. Prices are totally in line with the area, and honestly, for the level of care and service you get, it feels more than fair. I left feeling pampered and refreshed.
Highly recommend booking with Anna, she’s a gem. I’ll definitely be back when I get my air miles in order - LOL.
