Lisa is an excellent employee. Despite a stressful situation of a power outage at the facility she still accommodated our needs and we were able to still access our storage unit quickly and easily. Lisa is an amazing example of customer service under pressure.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE- Do Not Trust This Location
I started renting a storage unit at Public Storage in Dorchester in December 2024, and just two months later, the cost of my unit was doubled without any explanation. When I reached out and spoke with Lisa, the General Manager, there was no willingness to work with me or offer any solutions.
Upon further conversations with Lisa, she told me that I could move out on May 5th or May 6th and would not have to pay for the month of May. She advised me to turn off autopay and said since we’d be moving out right after the weekend and no one would be there, it wouldn’t be a problem. She acknowledged the steep rent increase and said this was a way to make up for it.
I asked her to confirm in writing, but she told me they “can’t email” and that I shouldn’t worry — that she would remember and honor what she said. When we arrived on Monday, May 5th, Lisa suddenly had no recollection of our conversation and refused to honor her word.
To make matters worse, when we came back with a moving truck on Tuesday morning at 7:30 AM (the website says they open at 7:00 AM), the gate was locked and no one showed up until 9:30 AM, causing unnecessary delays and frustration.
This facility is not trustworthy. Lisa lied, the posted hours are inaccurate, and the sudden rent increases feel like a bait-and-switch.
I strongly advise against storing your belongings here — look elsewhere if you want reliable service and honesty.
