I have a wonderful opinion of this bank, though I don’t have an account I will consider it, and I will recommend it to friends based on her

This bank is fine…. Until there is fraud on your account & you are forced to close it. They have literally dropped the ball on EVERY. SINGLE. THING. since this has happened exacerbating my problems & headaches & costing me more money. They said they would allow certain automatic payments to post that I allowed— they never even notated my account about it! I go in person— tell them the same thing & they agree to let certain payments go through— then they sent them back. I got charged fees on all ends from all kinds of companies it has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. I spoke with Brian from customer service who told me to contact him personally if there were any more issues. Well I have been trying to get in touch with him ever since- I keep being told he is not in or he will call me back and he never does. Rockland Trust isn’t going to magically put money into your account to cover the fees that you’re charged from other companies from them dropping the ball. It’s oops and sorry now you eat it. I literally can only deal with so much in a day because there are only so many hours & I can only handle so much. I cry every day I have to deal with this. And it just never ends. This was almost two months ago & I am still dealing with this constantly. I would switch banks now but I AM NOT GOING THROUGH THIS AGAIN SWITCHING EVERYTHING OVER! But you can prevent this by going to another bank now.

One of the best banks I've ever had dealt they made opening an account real simple and easy. I can only say really good things about this bank and their staff. They are all so kind and friendly and always greet you when you walk in the door. If you live in the Brighton area I highly suggest coming and becoming a member of this bank. Again I have nothing but good things to say about this bank and this branch

I use this bank for my personal as well as for business needs. They give great advice and has helped me streamline some of the processes.I love this bank but my dog LOVES the Brighton branch of Rockland Trust. Everyone who works there is friendly, extremely helpful and spoils my dog with treats. Even when he’s not with me, they’ll give me a treat to bring home to him! I’ve also noticed that they know most of their clients by name- I appreciate that extra touch. Anytime we walk anywhere near the bank, my dog will drag me there and try to get it.Great bank and great people!

Specifically went to this bank on a Sunday to talk to someone about banking questions so I could then go back to a different branch in my home town to sort out some problems. Was open about what was going on and said the hometown location had local gossip type drama with everyone being involved in everyone else’s personal lives so I wanted to know what I was asking about as much as possible beforehand so things would go smoothly. For some reason the teller I spoke with here contacted my hometown branch and initiated high drama that was ready and waiting for me as soon as I arrived. The home town teller threw it right in my face as soon as I walked in the door that she knew I had been to Brighton on Sunday to ask questions. That was the first thing she said to me. And then she proceeded to treat me horribly so I don’t know what possessed the teller to call my small town branch and tip them off that I’d be coming but it was 100% exactly what I had been trying to avoid. There was no reason for any of that. The banking issues I needed sorted have specific protocols and I just wanted to know the correct forms and things to ask for. Everything about this bank has been like this. The people that work there do whatever they want and make up rules as they go along. I’ve never been involved in a more dysfunctional exchange with a business than I have with rockland trust. I’m embarrassed for myself and anyone else unlucky enough to ever get involved with even the most mundane and basic banking with this business.

I was told that the change counter machine would be working at Rockland Trust Bank the new one on Center Street. I got there and the Machine looks like it's 10 years old. Not the machine they had at 725 Center Street. I tried to call that number there is no answer I called the one on Market Street line was busy I called the one downtown the line is busy I've been a faithful since almost 10 years. And this is very disappointing

I needed some documents notarized before leaving the country and my own bank was giving me the run around (on a cold and snowy day). I decided to try rockland trust and Jamar was more than happy to help. He had to finish up some things and apologized, though there was no need to as he was doing me the favor! Very polite and when he noticed that the documents were related to my father's passing, he expressed his condolences. I needed more documents notarized a couple of moments later and the woman who helped me (I believe she was the branch manager) showed the same level of professionalism. I'm not ready to switch (or add) a bank yet, but when I do, rockland trust is going to be it!

The worst bank ! Every time I try to go to the ATM to deposit money it is closed, I understand that the bank closes but why do they close the ATM, tomorrow I will cancel my account.

They won't do an online payment from eBay even when you have plenty of money to cover it.

Not a client - but great counter service. Walked in there to exchange some bills - I needed a crisp new $50 for a gift. Shirley at the counter very kindly helped me at once and took time to find the newest, best looking bill. Contrast that with a bank just one block away that refused to change my money at all - because I was not a client.

The renovated room looks spiffy. Up to date with the latest bells and whistles. Always a short (if any) wait time. Friendly and professional staff.
